Been visiting with Rufus the Superkitten again today. I now have well punctured knees. His claws certainly work! But I forgot the camera so no more photos yet.

I'm not going anywhere near London during the games. Thankfully the football is on round the country as well as Wembley - I'm going to watch some in Cardiff which is only a three quarter hour train journey so it shouldn't be too bad :)

I feel like I've been MIA lately; I thought summer was supposed to be less busy, lol! I can't wait for the Olympics to start and think it would be neat to see the torch traveling. Anyone have a favorite event to watch? I look forward to gymnastics, swimming and diving.

Weesilvie, looking forward to pics of Rufus. Kasey, the orange tabby we adopted a few months ago, has completely and utterly stolen my heart. He sleeps on our bed every night, stretched out next to me. You know you love an animal when you don't want to roll over because you might disturb him :)

Come on you two, didn't you notice it's July?! Luckily I'm here to mop up after you!

I think gymnastics is about the only thing I really ever aim to watch, but I'm sure I'll end up watching some other stuff, especially the finals!

I used to especially enjoy watching the gymnastics when Alexei Nemov was competing...

We went to see the Olympic torch being carried past only half a mile from us yesterday afternoon, so it was just a gentle stroll up the road for us!

Thankfully, the football (soccer) stadium is right at the other end of the city from us, so we won't be drowned in traffic! Some of the games are going to be played in Coventry. However, I am much more into tennis anyway and I am certainly enjoying a double servind of Wimbledon!!! I also love watching the gymnastics and athletics.

Today is certainly as wet and grotty as they come! My mum in Switzerland was complaining about having 35 C - if we could halve the difference, we would each end up with a nice 25 C. :)

We had an earthquake last night. 7.0, but 230k deep, so apart from a few chimneys, all is well! I have a high bed, that isn't terribly well supported; so I had a lovely swaying ride. It went on for quite awhile, too!

Oh, just so people know; I'm not near Christchurch, so they're ok! I think it was only about a 4 by the time it reached them.

Oooh crikey, glad everyone is okay - that's the first I've heard of it, it hasn't made the news here. Glad you enjoyed your ride anyway!

Unfortunately cats do hurt when they play, my little Felix is a monkey for really biting and scratching but it is still great to play with him.

Hugs

Poor Rufus had his bits snipped yesterday - he was most unimpressed! He's still a Superkitten though :)

Hope he's recovered well!

Was anyone glued to the tennis yesterday? I don't really care for it myself, but it's good we got to the men's final!

I'll be glad when they start and the events overshadow all the news stories about how we've messed up the security of the games!
