Lumps are so scary - my Winnie has one. Just a fatty one though, no tumour. How weird that Momo's lump disappeared?! I know what you mean about not knowing whether to be pleased or not! I think if it had have been me I'd have still gone to the vet, but I know your nice vet is quite far away so that will have made the decision for you.

I'm waiting for my next order of Kleenmama's hay. Waited too long to reorder. So I bought a bag of Kaytee Timothy hay. It was very green in the bag, and smelled good when I opened the bag. Then I took it out of the bag. Still smelled decent, but was sections of thick, stiff hay about a foot long. Not the best hay, but the pigs seem happy to have it. They munch while I worry about that hay putting out one of their eyes! Can't wait for the KMs hay to arrive. Only hay the pigs ever dropped their veggie treats for!!!
I also found it was very dusty. If I'd had a misting bottle, I would have misted it all. It worries me a bit that they are inhaling all that fine dust. Definitely not a hay to use for a pig with a URI.

I just received an order about a week ago and was so happy they still had 3rd cut left. For some reason I thought they might be out. Hope yours gets there soon and no one gets an eye poke! I worry about that, too, if I ever run out and have to buy Kaytee.

Usually takes 3-5 days, so it should arrive before the end of the week. My bad. Should have ordered sooner, but kept losing track of the thought. The pigs managed to bulldoze the Kaytee hay all over the cage. It's hilarious. I have a mental image of them frantically searching through the hay for the good stuff!!!

I always seem to manage to leave the hay order until just too late too! Luckily I can get it from my local vet and only need to order one day in advance. But then I do have to go and collect it. I get Oxbow, haven't seen any other readily available brands over here. It can be a bit long in cut and stiff, but the pigs love it

If I had gone to the feed/grain store, I would have bought orchard hay, which is soft and sweet, and much more like the Timothy hay I order. But I bought it at the department store where I do food shopping, and took what they had. Not great, but the pigs are enjoying bulldozing it around the cage. It does clean up more easily than the other hay, as it's stiff and doesn't get into the fleece. I'll take the cleaning ease while I have it. Don't mind the extra cleaning effort for that other hay, as it's soooooo great!
We're having another round of heat, so the pigloos came out of the cage, and the waffle block houses went in. I make them in various configurations that are open, to let a lot of air circulate through them. Not much point in running the fans and a/c if the cool air never gets to the piggies.

Aww, I bet they were excited to have a new setup! I really need to get some waffle blocks, especially since summer is fast approaching. Everyone still getting along well?
