With the best interest of pigs and pocketbooks there are many things you can use around your house for entertaining pigs on a budget!

I may be a bit of a pack rat, but I know things that don’t seem to be needed can end up very useful! - Toilet Paper Tubes/Rolls – cut open down the middle can be stuffed with hay
- Packing Tubes/Rolls – ask a store that sells carpet if they have any leftover cardboard tubes
- Jeans Leg – when you get a hole in the knee of your jeans, cut off the leg for your pigs to play in, plus its washable!
- sew up one end and make a snuggle sack
- leave it long for an exploration tunnel
Reese will need to thank my boyfriend for the use of his jeans leg...ironic that he is allergic to animals.

Lok at my signature, at my homepage. On there, there is a link to cage themes. You will see plenty of ideas either to buy or to make yourself to entertain the pigs.

I would never have thought of jeans legs, but since Reese makes such a good spokespig for that product, I may have to cut the legs off all of hubs jeans and make snuggle bags, lol. Great idea!!!

Cute picture. I would never have thought of jeans leg either. My daughter is constantly cutting up her pants into shorts, oy vey, and now maybe i have a use for the scraps.
Question about paper? I hear that they love to play with balled up paper. Is there any concern about them eating the paper?

The paper should be ink free if it doesn't come from th US. US ink is safe, it's soya based.

String ribbon across the cage and string pieces of lettuce, celery, etc. on it- they have fun pulling the veggies off.

I have kebabs for my lot. Mine don't actually use them a lot.

Anything that my boys gets hold of, will nibble it! Tissues, plastic, anything! They also like to shred stuff. My boys are quite destructive! Ah I have to go. I will continue this when I get back!

Cardboard boxes are a favorite here. Just cut some piggies sized holes and they're good to go. Also towel piles are fun for them to burrow in.

Anything that my boys gets hold of, will nibble it! Tissues, plastic, anything! They also like to shred stuff. My boys are quite destructive! Ah I have to go. I will continue this when I get back! I've returned, like 24 hours later, but I still returned! ;D My Spencer loves his wooden bridge, he runs up and down off it, gets under it, uses it to climb other things. I think Spencer has the athletic streak Neo never had! Neo's favourite is the barn, a wooden basket we cut a door in. He is so funny with it. All three of the boys have a little funny obsesion with the piggie potty, sleep in it, and hide and generally stuff around! Cool hammock, I'll find an old spare face washer and string it up. Though for Neo I will have to use an extra strong one, though I am pleased to announce, that Neo's diet is working, he has lost a little weight! Keep the ideas coming, I have three boys to entertain these holidays!

I still think a maze is something they enjoy the most. Building it with cardboard boxes can be fun. I have two mazes: one from waffle blocks and one from cutting boards.
Besides that, I have a feeding egg, that keeps them busy all day. Best toy I even bought. Only available in Europe so far, but food balls are available everywhere as far as I know. They have to work to get a treat out and they love it!
