That is good news Jo!
Yes it was pretty much a queue! They don't like walking on the kitchen floor so they were waiting at the doorway in the hall, leaning their bodies over into the kitchen, as much as possible without having to put their tootsies on the kitchen floor. So cute. Wheeking at me in demand! I'm a well trained slave...
I'm just so glad they've settled with me. After being from one home to another in such a short space of time when they were younger.

One day when my herd is small, I'll have them in my house instead of the shed and I might get lots of lovely experiences like you guys have. Just imagine a wee piggie climbing on to you and cuddling in, oh how fab is that you lucky people. X

I think you will, Margaret. Out in the shed, they form their own societies, and don't really include people except for feeding and cleaning. In the house, they are part of everything that goes on around them, and the people become a much bigger part of their world.

Ours are not just a part of our lives Piggles love, with bunny they completely rule it. There is a strong sense of not being the boss in your own house LOL!!

Freddie ran the house when he was inside, too. He actually lived outside, but considered both places to be his territory The guinea pigs are opportunists during floor time, and will explore and get into everything, but don't think they rule

They certainly do start to rule the house once they're in! The fridge door had to be closed very gently, otherwise their ears would pick up the sound and the house is filled with a wheeking chorus! Lovely to hear, but I don't think people appreciate it when you're downstairs getting ready for an early shift! The girls have actually gone back outdoors now. Its a lot warmer here at the moment. They still have their snuggle safe heat pads over night in their strawberry hidey, where they retreat for bed. I have ordered cage liners for their outdoor hutch, as Amber really hates shavings. They are really messy too and I think they miss their fleece a lot. Fingers crossed they should be delivered today. Some updated photos of the girls.

Aww lovely pictures, they look very content snuggled in their tube together!
My lot give me and the kids a chorus as soon as we come down in the morning, but if my husband's up first, he pretty much gets ignored as they know there's nothing to be gained by shrieking at him!

Yes that's the same with my sister! She just ignores them!
The girls have a very close bond. I've never known a pair snuggle so much. Mabel will often lick Ambers ears. I think this is a friendly dominance thing?

Their liners arrived yesterday. I'm so pleased with them! So are the girls. Popcorning occurred the minute their feet touched the fleece! The new set up...

Fabulous I can understand why the girls would be happy with their set up I love the hutch. Is that a special order, or made by a regular company?
