I am "Captain CAAAAAVEMAAAAAAANNNN!!!!" Treen - no ping-pong balls dropping from the sky for you! Captain Kangaroo aired October 3, 1955 until December 8, 1984, making it the longest-running children's television program of its day. Promoting the bond between grandfather and child. - he was not creepy, but his hair-do was a bit odd.

Totally agree, Jeannine! You know, I only watched it with my grandpa. Every day we would watch that and Mr. Rogers. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...

I never saw Captain Kangaroo but I'll gladly take credit for it. My pleasure, lonestar!

I have never even seen Jeannines character. I would have never guessed that. Maybe you have to be a child of the 70's to appreciate the joys of Hanna Barbera characters - Cavy Wavy was one of my favourites. (and before Treen says she is too young to remember Captain caveman, she's twisting the truth). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Hanna-Barbera_characters

If the words under the avatars play a role, it seems to be nuts that make us feel good or bring good memories. Still working on refining that thought.

Lol I love it 'nuts that make us feel good'! Please keep guessing Laurie!
(And ignore the words, just concentrate on the pictures!)

the words below the avatar are more for defining or identifying that individuals image.

I keep thinking I'm overthinking it, so I'm going to keep it simple.
Edible nuts? ;-P

I know, I've wasted more time than I want to admit trying to figure this out. I think I might overthinking it, too. Darn nuts!

They're great guesses, but unfortunately a lot more complicated/ abstract than the real answer!
