Squeekie - 3rd July 2002 to 15th April 2009
I'm so very upset and sad to let you know that my dear Squeekie was helped to make his journey to Rainbow Bridge at dinner time today. I wan't Squeekie's tribute in the Memorial Garden to be a happy tribute for my dear Mr.Funny Face. Squeekie along with his brother Jake, came to live with me in January 2003 at 6 months old. Later on in the year, Squeekie and Jake were both neutered as they wern't getting along as well. Squeekie then lived with Clover and Peachy and Jake went to live Jasmine and Sweetpea., my little group of 6 piggies. Squeekie adored his ladies. Both Peachy and Squeekie always turned to Clover if they were worried, she really was the matriarch. Sometimes my six piggies would have their free range time together. Jake and Squeekie amazingly got on well together, although I think the big distraction for Jake was my Peachy who he always made a beeline for. After loosing his Clover, Squeekie continued to live with his Peachy. Both Peachy and Jake passed away within weeks of each other. Squeekie then went to live with Sweetpea who he loved. In December 2007, sadly Squeekie lost his Sweetpea and its then Beatrix came into his life. Both Squeekie and Beatrix became so very close very quickly. Squeekie was Professor Henry Higgins and Beatrix is his Eliza Doolittle. Squeekie was one of the most cuddly guinea pigs I've ever known. Squeekie would purr as soon as I lifted him up and would continue to purr while gently stroking him, he was so affectionate and will dearly miss his cuddles under my chin and I know Beatrix will miss him so much too. Squeekie taught Beatrix how to stand up against the cage when it was time to go in, just the words, 'go on in' and they'd both run up to their cage, stand up and wait to be lifted. A trick Squeekie learnt from Clover and Peachy. There is so much more I could say about my little Squeekie but I hope these two video's of Squeekie will show you what a wonderful, cuddly guinea pig he was. I was so lucky to have Squeekie for so many years and to know Squeekie had a very happy and for 99% of the time a healthy life too. I have so many favourite video's of Squeekie. In this video, the song goes beautifully with the film and even more so at the end of the movie. and Squeekie with his lovely Beatrix. I hope they make you smile like they do for me. vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=34349154I have a beautiful cross stitch picture in a frame of my little 6 piggies that Merry made for me, I've kept it on my bedside cabinate for years. When I look at it now every night, I know my 6 piggies are together forever Run free over at Rainbow Bridge my darling Squeekie. I know your now reunited with Clover, Peachy, Sweetpea, Jasmine and Jake. Goodbye my friend xxx love Mummy and Beatrix xxx We'll never forget you and you'll always be in our hearts

You wrote a beautiful tribute to him and its lovely seeing his little piggy ways in the videos.
What a lovely image you can have of all 6 of them running and popcorning together again.
Love and hugs for you and Beatrix. xx

I'm so sorry about Squeekie. He was such a wonderful little g-guy. I was hoping for good news, but when I saw this thread, I knew he didn't get better. Your memorial videos are a great tribute to him. Despite my tears, I couldn't help but laugh as Beatrix bounced the house around and Squeekie tried to ignore her. The music was perfect for that video.
Give Beatrix extra snuggles from us, too. The 3 piggles send a lot of piggy love her way to help her get through this, and lots of human hugs your way, to help you, too.

Squeekie, You, together with your brother and sisters first welcomed me at Wheekers nearly four years ago now... I have followed your day to day lives and although am sad to hear that you have taken the trip across Rainbow Bridge am happy to know what a huge party will be planned for you. I dare say that all of the Wheekers babies are there having such a huge party for you, now that you are no longer in any pain or suffering. Together again with everyone you know and love. We will keep an eye on your Mummy and Beatrix. With loads of love and hugs, The Butler Family xxxxx xxxxx

That smile makes me smile. Squeekie Garfunkel, you are one special pig. You have taken such good care of your family. You have raised two girls into lovely young ladies. You helped them learn to be kind and caring. You also taught them responsibility in caring for you along with Mum. You taught them to think of others' needs before their own. You invited Beatrix into your home and taught her all about being loved and being special. Thank you Jackie for making Squeekie so special to all of us by sharing his life in photos and stories. Well done Professor Higgins, well done.

I've never seen a piggie smile like that. What a dear. My daughter loves your website and feels like she knew all of your piggies.

:-*Awwwwww Jackie I am truly so sorry about the loss of Squeekie, He lived a long and beautiful live with you and his friends. He is now with all the other piggies and animals that we here at Wheekers have lost. I know you will miss him alot and it will take time to get over his passing and it truly never does totally get over but in time lil by lil it will get better. I know I am still struggling with Cloud's passing and no matter how much I think to myself if I only did this different she would still be here with us. Squeekie was a very smart and talented lil guy. He will be missed by us all and I will add his picture to my memorial site if you would like it there? I am so sorry and if you ever need to talk I am an email or pm away. My thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family always and forever. Cloud will look after Squeekie and make sure he is okay. He will be safe with her, she was a great lil piggie. Hugs and Love Theresa, Sugar and Lucy

What a wonderful tribute to dear Squeekie, Jackie. We'll all feel your loss here with you, he was a much loved little gent and had the cutest face. I especially love the pictures of him smiling and smoking, they have always made me smile.
You've done Squeekie proud throughout his whole life, but never more so than this last week or so. I understand how hard it must have been for you though and I hope you're okay, Jackie xxx
Sleep tight Squeekie xxx

Thank you so much everyone for your lovely messages, they mean such alot I'm sure Squeekie is having a party pignic with his piggy family and all the piggies he knew here at Wheekers. Whenever I look back on all the photo's I have of my piggies, some pictures seem as though they were taken a very long time ago which makes me find comfort knowing Squeekie lived a long, happy life. Yes Squeekie did have an expressive face bless him. Here are more of my favourite photo's. I had so many favourite pictures of Squeekie that he had two pages on my site. jackiesguineapiggies.com/squeekiespage.htmljackiesguineapiggies.com/squeekiespage2.htmlAnd Squeekie through the years with his piggy family jackiesguineapiggies.com/piggiestogether.htmlSqueekie with Sweetpea Squeekie seeking reassurance from Clover Squeekie with Jasmine, Sweetpea and Peachy Squeekie with his brother Jake Squeekie with Jake, Sweetpea and Peachy and Squeekie with his Beatrix
