Thanks everyone. I still hurt pretty bad from the loss but it does help to get some snuggles from the other girls.

So I took two of my girls to the vet this morning- Osaka and Kuma, Osaka being my older girl. It was just a checkup for her, and she got a clean bill of health from the vet, who was very impressed with how good she is for her age. Just a little bit of ear gunk, so she's on some ear drops for a few days. Boy did she put on a show, though. While getting her ears cleaned out, she kept squealing and squirming, and I felt so bad because I wanted to rescue her from the "mean doctor", haha.
I had found a pea-sized lump on Kuma's left hip a week or so ago, so we needed to get that checked out. It was a little bigger than that today, but we got it drained (in full!), so it hopefully won't reform. That's not to say another random one can't form somewhere else though. Kuma didn't even cry or squirm (probably because she's so gentle and was petrified at being out of the house, poor thing). I think I may have been more traumatized than her, lol. I cringed the whole time. We did have a bit of a scare with her, because she made a little pee on the scale while being weighed, and it had a reddish colour. Vet ran an analysis on the sample that she so freely gave (ha), and it seems to be just a bit of pigmentation.
But, all's well in the end, and they're both good right now post-treatment.

Clean bill of health is always such a relief!!! Glad the lump emptied easily, and the ear gunk wasn't a problem. I've had pigs that were so laid back, and others that screamed the whole time, even when no one was touching them. Never a dull moment

Just had a very interesting experience with my girl, Aya.
My husband and I were making mojitos so I thought I'd try giving the girls some mint since I'd read they could have it. Aya ran away from it like it would attack her!!! I thought maybe it was a fluke, and that I'd moved too fast or something, but I tried handing it to her again and there she went!
Has anyone else experienced this? It was only Aya, and none of the others ran away, despite turning their noses up at it.

Hi colon three, nice to hear from you again. Imagine that reaction from mint. No I've never given my piggies mint, maybe Aya wanted the lamb to go with it, ha ha. Xx

I haven't tried mint, but mine acted as if the basil were an evil alien from outer space! I'll try mint, and see what happens!

It looks like I'm about to pick up another piggy. A friend of mine had two (well, it was her sister's), but one passed. They already didn't really want their guinea pigs anymore, so I'm rescuing their 3 year old girl to add to my pack so she doesn't have to be lonely. I'm so excited! Her name (from them) is Ellie, but I think that might change later.

Meet Elli, we got her Sunday. She's about 2.5 years old. She's pretty chill when we're just walking around her and stuff, but she doesn't care to be handled yet. We'll see how long that lasts. Sent from my SGH-T889 using proboards

Ooh she's a striking lady - I love black and white pigs! Sounds like she is settling in pretty well, hope that continues and extends to more interaction with you!
