Aww how cute! They're all adorable, and I just love looking at cute piggy faces. I'm glad they've all settled in together nicely as new couples and they look very comfortable and happy together.

Thanks, it's so nice seeing them all happy - seeing the boys so closely bonded with their wives, seeing the girls come out of their shells and get to enjoy piggy company after being alone for so long. Josh really just is a very rumbly male - he hardly walks without doing it. It stressed Cadders out as he saw it as a challenge (I don't think it is, I just think he's full of love!), but Rocky is very tolerant (Josh does get a well aimed jet of wee in the face if she wants a bit of peace!). I'm glad they all get to be themselves without anyone getting upset!
The gotcha day is catching on over here too - sweet, but the kids prefer to celebrate the birthdays so we do our best guess! In our family the human children get a half day - the day 6 months from their birthday. You get half a cake (and I loved seeing them puzzle over where the other half was when they were little, just like I did!) and maybe a card. It's just a fun little tradition for the little ones (to be honest I often forget and realise only when the post comes with a card for them from my parents!). Anyway the kids have worked out when the pigs' half days are and are asking if we can have a celebration - them getting veggie cakes and us having half a real cake to join in? Nice try kids!

Sort of like the monthly office birthday party, with cake, lol It must be someones birthday somewhere, so let's celebrate I like that half day idea, and the half cake to confuse the little ones

Cadders and Josh turned 2 at the start of the month and we celebrated Poppy's 3rd birthday today, happy birthday Pops! They're still very settled in their pairs and so well suited to their respective partners. Josh and Rocky are just a pair of excitable numpties, and Cads and Pops are more the cool and sophisticated duo!
Cads is so laid back these days - amazing how their personalities can be so different when they're happy with their mate rather than just co-existing. I don't think Josh will ever sit still, but Rocky is completely tolerant of him and even finds it amusing, so everyone's a winner!

I love the excitable numpties I think they are the most fun. The low key ones are the best cuddlers Happy Birthday, Poppy, Josh and Cadders

A couple of snaps from when they were out grazing. The delightfully daft numpties - Rocky and Josh. The sweet and chilled couple - Poppy and Cadders.

When the pigs see us approaching with veg (or at least think they do...), they all come over to the side of the cages and try to stretch themselves out to be the tallest in the hope it will earn them receiving the veg first. Josh is quite athletic and has always taken it a bit further and will push his hidey over to the side and stand with his back legs on that and his front legs on the side of the cage. Last night he went one step further and actually managed to climb up on the side of the cage so his back legs had cleared the bottom tray and were on the bottom bars of the cage (without anything to climb up on)- he was clinging to the bars with his little paws and jumped down effortlessly once he'd got a bit of veg! I'll have to keep an eye on this one...!

I've never had a pig do that, but I have heard about it from others. That was the reason I put the T section of grid over the divider grid in the cage, when I had Morty and the girls divided by a grid. Go Josh

Oh wow, I think you will Bean love, no piggles sweets, I have never had a piggy do that either and all mine have been mega greedy. Mine too stretch up at the bars to be the first to be fed and then there is a desperate frenzy of running around in case their piece gets pinched I only have to be cutting something up in the kitchen or creating a rustle and they thunk they are getting another treat LOL!! Josh's body feels like pure muscle, so if someone could do it, it would be him! My daughter's disappointed he hasn't done it since as she really wants to see!

With the my new camera, I've vowed to be better at taking pictures of the pigs (and everything else in my life of course!). I had a total 'kick myself' moment the other day as we had a good photo session with the pigs and got (I think) some great photos. But then something went wrong in my brain when I went to upload them and I ended up deleting them all from my camera thinking I'd transferred them when I hadn't?! Annoying, but hey ho! Anyway, we got a few others so firstly here's Josh chilling out and then posing.
