I'm not exactly sure what the kind of plastic it is, but it is malleable. I liked that because I can fold it up and get it out of the way and store easily. You shouldn't have a problem with one of those hard plastic pools. I'd be interested to hear how it goes with one of those plastic pools. It definitely has it's positive points.

I think the biggest problem with the baby pool is going to be where to store it; which is why I haven't gotten it yet!
Thanks Jo! I think they are pretty cute too, but I have yet to come across a pig that wasn't cute!

I did the hard baby pool. Storage was a problem, and I had to put a pleypen around it for my one escape artist. Otherwise it worked well except for the storage issue.
Love the cage changes. Pigs do like their own space, just as we do.

It gets folded up to a manageable storage size. In researching this for you, I found that they are quite expensive. I now see that I got a fantastic deal at the SPCA that I adopted the piggies. www.ohmydogsupply.com/products/packable-dog-swimming-poolI have a confession...I really don't think the hairless piggies are cute...other than them, I have to agree, all piggies are just adorable.

Thanks silamb! I can see why they are so costly. I love that they fold, just don't like the price! I may have to keep my eyes open to see what else I can find around here.
I think that hairless piggies are adorable! I went to a friends house who had them, she was thinking about breeding them so I wanted to check them out. Anyway, I was in love with skinny pigs...until I held one! Yuck! They are so warm, almost hot, and their skin just feels strange. So I will admire them from a distance, but no more touching!

As you all know I have been on a quest to find the perfect 3rd pig. The texel boy Murphy is going to be coming here today. He has been off the Baytril and ear drops for 5 days now. Since the rescue is full to the brim and since I am so hesitant to add a 3rd after the last go around he is going to stay with me for a few weeks. He is NOT going to meet Henry and George just yet. In a week or so if I think his personality will work with my boys then I will try an intro. This way I can be sure he is healthy and get to know him a little before I stress everyone out again. If we make it to intros we are doing it slow, because I am NOT doing another after this. This is my last shot at adding a 3rd. I was done after Peter, but Murphys long locks keep calling me! It's a win-win all around though with me taking a boy to foster...we will just have to see how it plays out.

Good call doing the quarantine and not rushing things - sounds like he will have a nice holiday with you, and if he ends up getting along well with you boys, all the better! Photos when he arrives please!

Sounds like you are making a wise course of action. We're pulling for you and are here for when you are tempted to pull some of your hair out.

I think that's a great decision. I hope you and Murphy have a great time together. I hope the boys like him, but if not, ge will have an excellent foster experience

Yes, at the very least it will be fun to foster. Of course there will be pictures Bean!

Murphy is here! He's the cutest foster piggy on the planet! This must be his "good side" he refuses to allow me to take a picture of him from the other side. He looks like a different pig though on that side, all 1 color, the darkest of his colors. His ear has 2 holes in it, and they are big! Any ideas? I was thinking ear tag, but he's just a little thing.

I just have to keep telling myself he is a foster... Lol! I guess we will probably never know how he got those holes in his ear, it just makes me wonder.

Aww he is adorable - look at that little face!
I'm wondering (especially with him being a texel) if the ear holes are from him being ear tagged? It's done in showing circles. Poor chap if so, especially if it was done twice.
Like the nail polish!

I was thinking ear tag too, but he's little. He can't be more than 3 or 4 months old. I don't know anything about that sort of thing though so maybe it is from a tag, or two. That is my new favorite color nail polish it's by a company called OPI and they have the best names for their colors. This one is Dining Al Frisco!

So when Bean complimented the nail polish, I was like, "nail polish, she polished Murphy's nails, what?!? really?!?" and then I scroll up and see your fingers...and I'm like, "duh!" Oh well, I guess the brain hasn't kicked in yet. It is a pretty color. Did you do your nails yourself? If so, that is a fantastic paint job.

He's adorable No idea about the holes, but tags or birth defects make the most sense. Attacks from others pigs usually cause tears or tatters. Definitely a great color polish
