George has begun to behave a little strangely. He spends almost all his time inside the pigloo, moving it around to get access to the timothy hay feeder and the water bottle. I haven't observed any abnormal bullying behavior on the part of Arthur. Any ideas as to what may be going on inside his head?

Mine regularly act as if the pigloo were a shell. They carry it around, expect yrests to be put into the pigloo. Mia is doing that now, and Momo does it periodically. Morty gets too excited about food to play games.

bongosfriend, is George getting enough floor time and time with you? Harry would do this as well when that was the case.

Ha ha 3piggles love, yes, food really does dominate with these greedy lovely little animals LOL!! I think he is trying to get to the food carrying his igloo love, so (thinks) he can't be seen and can eat (every morsel so none is left for everyone else) in peace.

Zippy was the first to stick his nose out the pigloo door and open his mouth for treats. It was years before I had another pig do that Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk

They are doing fine, SiLamb! Later today I'm taking them if for a nail trim, so there's a big adventure awaiting them with special treats when we return home.

This is so sweet. Ours went for their manicure last week and had treats when they returned. I still don't think they were happy with me though LOL!!

Mine got their mani/pedis last week, and were sooo good Each had an outing to the kitchen sink for a short foot soak, quick clippings and lots of snuggles in a dry towel. Treats are a given, of course

Since Momo can't be in the same carrier with the others, and I use a cane so can only manage one carrier, it's easier to do them at home. Nice to get ttlhem done, though the herd seems to be getting used to it.

Harry has one black foot. I'm nervous of trimming them and have been putting it off. One day soon I'll have to get brave and do it. I've trimmed all of the other ones. The first nail I clipped was one that I figured wrong and made Harry yelp.

I seem to always have a pig with at least on black foot. I find a really bright light helps, and I just do a tiny bit off the tip each time.

We made ours yelp a little while ago and I felt sick. The vet says they don't really feel it but although I am not a vet, I disagree.

Mine tend to get more upset with how long I hold their foot than with clipping the nails too short. I agree with you, Jo, they feel it!

Thanks 3pigggles hun, I used to wish it was I who was having the pain. This is much better knowing that the nurse can do this with a minimum of fuss and we only get charged very little if at all.

This style of clipper are so much better than human clippers or scissors - they don't squeeze the claw before cutting. I'm fine with pig claws but am not fancying doing the rabbits just yet! As we only tend to have them for a couple of months, it hasn't come up yet!

Oh bless, we used to be able to do our bunnies no problmem because their claws were larger and lighter and the buns were docile. Our little Holly however, despite being a loving and relaxed bun, if we try to do anything like clip claws, she turns into a Ninja. It takes both Uncle Dean and Auntie Rachel at the vets to do her little feet. She has them done whilst having her two monthly teeth check.
