Hi Friends,
Please say a little prayer today for Zippy, my teeny tiny guinea piggy girl, whom I am taking to Dr. Gold today for her spay at Chadwell Animal Hospital in Abingdon, MD. The staff at the vet said I could send along her organic salads and some items she likes, for comfort, so I will do that-- like a little suitcase of her comfort items-- chew sticks, organic salads and her favorite towel for snuggling as well as her alfalfa cardboard tube, in which she likes to hide.
I am a little nervous because she has to be there overnight so Dr. Gold can check on her in the morning before discharging her. Tonight, when I go home, I will clean her cage and make everything nice for her homecoming tomorrow afternoon.
--Thanks, Marilyn

Fingers crossed for Zippy, hope it all goes smoothly. Why is she getting spayed? Just curious as it's not common for guinea pigs to be spayed routinely, so wondering if she's had some health problems? I'm sure it will be difficult being away from her overnight - hope it's soon morning and you have her back home, safe and sound.
