Hello my friends Just to let you know that I now have another little piggy. His name is Merlin (name he came with) and he is black and tan, much the same as Lacey. He and his dad lived todd#gether until his daddy died and he has been on his own. The lady who has given him to me is from Slimming World and now has very active dogs and he is not getting the attention he should. So, we put another pen up here so he could see our other piggies and he is settling in nicely. A very nervous little chap but that is to be expected. As soon as I can get him to sit still I will take some photos.

Oooh how exciting! So glad you could take him in Jo, I know he'll be very happy living with you. I expect hearing and seeing some other pigs will give him a real boost too. Looking forward to hear how he settles in, I bet he's already feeling very lucky!

Ooh, welcome, Merlin It's great that he has a loving home where he'll get the attention he needs, and no rambunctious dogs to scare him. Wonderful news, Jo

Thank you my darlings, the little love is very skittish at the moment but is eating very well. He can see our two and hee keep poking his nose through the bars, sometimes they will nuzzle back. He has lots of hay, a cuddle cup and a hidey place as the others have but he could do with being a little fatter. That will not take long in this household LOL! I will keep you posted.

Merlin is still very shy and skittish but he is a good eater. He keeps poking his nose through the bars to the other two and occasionally they will nose him back but usually, they just get on and do their own thing, Poor Merlin, he is desperate for piggy company, I shall have to play this by ear.

Congrats on your new piggy Jo. So do you think you'll put him in with the other 2? That's cute that they've been nosing each other through the bars, and I'm sure Merlin likes the company.

I think Jo has a boy-girl pair, in which case that won't be an option!
I'm sure Merlin will love just being able to see and hear other piggies, but like you say Jo, see how it goes - it's early days yet. It sounds like he's settling in well.
I have two separate pairs and they always try to stick their noses through the bars at each other when they're out - sort of like they're snogging. It's funny!

He is desperate to be in with the other Piggies Bean love but obviously we have not tried anything yet. Darcy and lacy virtually ignore him; sometimes they will just have a look through the bars but he just stands there wheeking, poor little love. He s a good eater though and I have found one or two things he likes and dislikes. i do hope I can make him happy. I will keep you posted. I would like to try and bond him with the other two Cookie love, but I don't hold out much hope.

Do you have a good vet to do the neutering? I know it can be pricey They would probably make a great herd

Excellent to have tried and trusted vets :)That's one of the biggest concerns in much of the US, as guinea pigs aren't as popular nationally, here, as they are in the UK.

Thank you sweetheart, I must take some of him. The trouble is I cannot bend down anymore to pick him up and he is a little wriggler so I will ask Paul to get him for me and take some piccies.
