We've not got much above 20c this week so our pigs have been doing well for grazing - send your pigs over my way! I mowed the lawn today, so that won't go down well next time they're out!

We have officially had a heat wave. In Concord, which is the closest official thermometer used by the national weather service, we've had temps in excess of temps in excess of 93 degrees for the past 4 days. 90 or greater for 3 or more days is a heat wave. The whole house a/c is working great, though I wish I had enough freezer space to keep bottles of frozen water on hand. I do have ice packs, and I can create swamp coolers, so if we lose power, or the a/c stops for another reason, I can keep the girls cool. The mid west is getting fried, and they're having lots of storms, too. Not a great place to be trying to stay cool.

Glad your air conditioning is working well - very timely getting that fitted! Glad you've got back up for keeping the girls cool if it fails too. Have you been able to get out for walks before it heats up?

We're getting a break in the heat, even if only for a few days. Rain and clouds are keeping the temps down a bit. The humidity is supposed to let up, though it was soupy when I went to walk this morning. I don't think the amount of rain we got will make a dent in the drought, but hopefully we'll get some more steady rain, one of these days. We will also be having a generator installed, that will come on automatically, if the electricity is off for more than a certain amount of time. I think it's either 30 or 60 seconds before it turns on. If there's one guarantee about living in New England, it's that if we lose electricity, we will lose it for a few days at a time. Best to be prepared.

Beautiful How old is he? Ooh, can't wait for Oscar to meet him, and know how they get along The shelter told me Murphy (original name Donny, but Vicki likes the name Murphy so it got changed) should be close to two years of age. He does act young; I haven't seen him popcorn yet, but he is spry and jumps around much like Oscar does. Also, I just discovered another batch of Deo pics, so I might still be posting them long after I run out of Theodore pics! Here we go with another set!

Cuddling time with Oscar! Another pic of Deo grazing during a sunset! Theo pausing to stare at me suspiciously during a snack: Murphy's still camera-shy, but I got this one during another session of lap time with Vicki!
