I laugh when I see how they interact with their pigloos: Oscar likes to flip his over and sit in it triumphantly. Whenever I hear a plastic "FWOMF" coming from my daughter's room, I know exactly what's happening. I walk in, see Oscar look like he's pretending he's sailing a ship, and ask him, "Who's in the boat, hm?" Deo, on the other hand, doesn't really play with his pigloo, but if he wants to stay concealed when I put food in his bowl, he sticks his head out and rotates his pigloo towards the food, looking hilariously like a giant blue turtle. Man, how I love my guinea pigs. An endless source of entertainment!

Pigloo flipping is a pigolympic sport, lol They also love to cart the pigloo around on the cage. I purposely put the pigloos where they don't want them, so they have a chance to rearrange everything Great pictures

It's too cold out for any more grazing, but I still have a few more pics I'd like to share:

They are adorable Too bad grazing is done for this year, but winter brings a whole new bunch of things to do with them. Piles of fabric, tents, obstacle courses on the floor, and much more

Deo is still on the mend (can't get him to eat hay) but he's chowin' down on his veggies! (liberally seasoned with Critical Care Sauce!)

Good way to get the extra calories into him, but it'd totally ruin that salad for me! His eyes still show that he's not feeling tiptop, but I'm glad he's continuing to improve.

Excellent idea! I never thought to try that, but will definitely add it to my information. Glad he's doing better, and enjoys his Critical Care sauce

I guess we're making progress, thanks for asking, Jo! He's moving around in his cage more, and drinking more water from his bottle. One eye is clearing up, so we're still giving him eye drops for the other eye. Occasionally he still falls over, but that happens less and less. When I come home from work he's on his feet! Only one new issue has cropped up: He still doesn't eat hay, and now is spurning his vegetables. He'll eat tomatoes, kind of nibble his carrot, but ignore his lettuce and his cucumber slices. He's still eating his pellets, and I think he's putting on some weight again, but I stopped giving him Bene-bac and Critical Care because I wonder if he's starting to get tired of the same stuff over and over again. He's also picked up a new habit- wheeking at 3am! He'll wheek LOUDLY and I jump out of bed to see what the problem is, but where he did that when he fell over, now he's not doing anything but standing by his food bowl munching away in the darkness. Too dark to tell, but I think he's got an expression on his face that says, "I just wanted to see if you'd come running... chump!"

You are very welcome love and I am glad he is eating even if it is not his hay and a cuple of other bits. He is obviously enjoying nibbling on some things you are giving him so he still wants to eat but is being a bit picky. You are right to stop the critical care for a while, maybe he has had enough of it. Ours soon tire of things which is another good reason for just saving certain things as treats.
Sorry Bazaookagoof love, I had to laugh at the wheeking at 3am. As you say, I think he was just seeing if his daddy would come if he called LOL!!

Give the Bene-bac as long as he's taking the antibiotic. If he's eating the pellets, he probably doesn't need the Critical Care. Taking the Critical Care off the veggies may entice him to eat more veggies, but you really want him eating 80% hay and 20% pellets. The veggies are just a way to get him liquid if he can't move much, or get the Bene-bac and Critical Care into him. I'm glad he's doing better, but the falling over still concerns me. I had to chuckle over the 3 a.m. WHEEK!, lol
