It does put a bit of a kibosh on the good old days idea, doesn't it, Jo

It certainly does love, the people who had the good lives were about 5 per cent of the population but those are the people we tend to hear about more. The houses full of servants and loads of beautiful clothes were only for a very few and I believe some of them might have had nice or good lives. When I was a child I used to think everyone went around in those gorgeous dresses and I thought how lovely it must be to go anywhere and see them all. When I was about 9 my mother put me right by telling me that only the very rich wore those and many were in scabby rags. Bubble burst LOL!!

Just a little bump for this thread: This is the highlights reel from Utah, which is not to be confused with the Utah trailer I posted earlier in the thread (this has different shots that weren't seen earlier.)

What a fantastic video and fantastic music it is just awesome Bazookagoof love. We in the UK find it hard to imagine the vastness of these places and just how long they go on for. You can fit the whole of the UK in most of the states several times. When the time reached around 2.50 what was that cute little creature scurrying away? You all know how I love little creatures. Was that real skunk your daughter was holding up? A friend of mine who lives in California used to have a skunk as a pet. Did you have to watch out for scorpies?

These videos are awesome! I was wishing I could show you all videos of the babies but had no idea how. Now I'll try to figure out how to save to vimeo.

That little guy was just a beetle we found crawling around an area known as the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. I included a bird's-eye view of him in the Utah trailer, too. When I shoot these videos, I like to show expansive vistas, but also close-ups of little things- it just seems right. And no, that certainly was NOT a real skunk! My daughter wanted a new stuffed animal on this trip, so we picked one up at a souvenir stand. We did not encounter any scorpions, but did see an occasional lizard.

If Vimeo is too tricky to use, there's always YouTube. If you have a camera on your phone, you can upload videos to Vimeo or YouTube. I'd love some guinea pig videos in this thread! Even short clips would be wonderful.

Thanks Bazookagoof love for telling me who he was, I adore beetles. I would probably have tried to catch him to pick him up, I am very tactile with little creatures but for some reason, they do not always feel the same way LOL! It is such a shame that they see us all as a threat in this way but who can blame them? I am wondering now what sort of a beatle he was, I will have to look up wildlife in Utah. He looks a fair sized chap.

Hugs Jo xx He was pretty tiny- I tried to get as close as I could with my camera. I'm posting this video because it briefly features a little caterpillar (with poisonous spines!) in it. It was 100 degrees Fahrenheit when we went there, but the broad palette of green colors was astounding.

That was fantastic, thanks so much love, the ending was really well done. I saw the snake (which I also love) and the cute caterpillar. Thank you so much for sharing. There is a moth in the southern States apparently which is really white and fluffy (I have it in my cute file) but he cannot be touched because he has something poisonous on him. It would be hell for me not to be able to pick up and pet something like that LOL!!

Love the Utah video - the rock formations are simply stunning and it gives you a real sense of how minuscule we are!
Indiana looks amazing too - love the beasties! So that was the trip that put your daughter off hiking around?! At least you can show her how happy she looks for most of it!

She really did enjoy herself; it was just her remembering how hot it was that keeps putting her off on the idea of hiking. I realized I hadn't posted this one yet- Part 1 of my trip to Yellowstone National Park!

I finally maged to get a video uploaded! This was the night that Mama and her babies started climbing the stairs.

Oh bless them, that is too adorable! Great stair jumping and I love the way the babies follow mum! The towel on the stairs to go under is genius, so much fun - I love the baby getting a bit confused about how to follow mum when she can't see her, especially when she sees the towel move! More! More!
Yellowstone looks just amazing - so much natural wonder there, beats Disneyland every time! I always like to play 'spot any other people' when I watch your videos - it seems you have most of your holiday places to yourself!

Virtual cuddles are lovely Jo, the piggies love cuddles.
Here's a video of one of the babies (her name is Fluff because of the whirls of fur on her back) wheeking. She carries on like this most of the time when she isn't sleeping and it gets so much louder if I do anything noisy for her to wheek at. They"re so adorable.

I always like to play 'spot any other people' when I watch your videos - it seems you have most of your holiday places to yourself! I've got plenty of experience in cropping out unwanted elements in my videos! I have another video I can post, but when we went, it was CROWDED! We visited Antelope Slot Canyon in Arizona, and there were half a dozen trucks full of tourists. I was able to shoot nice pictures of the area above our heads, but trying to video my daughter and wife walking around proved a frustrating experience. What ended up happening, was that at the end of the tour, our guide instructed us to turn around and head back for the exit. EVERYBODY immediately turned around and left. Our guide, a Native American, told us (my family) to hold back a few minutes. Then, after everybody had gone, he let us get some awesome shots without anyone else around. Naturally, I tipped him heavily. His generosity made this video possible: A little heads-up: the beginning portion is just a little nonsense between my daughter and myself. If you've watched the Goblin Valley video, this video is part of the same trip. (and Antelope Slot Canyon is in Arizona, not Utah, but we were passing it along the way and I couldn't resist!)

I love the idea of other tourists being unwanted elements haha! Incredible rock formations and glad you got some quiet time to appreciate it and get your shots.
Love the chat with Fluff - I just love it when they can't do anything without chuntering away to themselves!
