Piggies love cuddle cups. They can snuggle into the fleece between the side of the cup. www.walmart.com/ip/32962474?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222227021736266&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=52355126895&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=79455214335&veh=sem
The down side is that the pigs soak the bed of the cuddle cup, while the sides stay dry, so the cuddle cups have to be washed almost daily. I got to thinking that, since what the pigs really like is snuggling into the sides, and I already have fleece pads for bedding, why not make the sides instead of the whole cup. I have some draft stoppers, one and two-sided. www.walmart.com/ip/32962474?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222227021736266&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=52355126895&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=79455214335&veh=sem

They are either foam tubes in waterproof fabric, or loose stuffing in waterproof fabric. Just sew the ends together into a donut, and the pigs have a cuddle donut with no bed. I'm going to try making some for the winter.
The other thing that came of that idea is a former member who has a pig with no use of his hind legs, asked for ideas on ways to keep him from rolling over and not being able to right himself. The donut will keep him in a restricted area with soft sides and waterproof fabric covering, so he'll be able to sleep without fear of rolling over. I have to credit a UK friend with a rabbit rescue for the idea. She makes rabbit-sized Ugly Donuts (tubes with knitted coverings) for her Etsy shop. I kept thinking what a great idea the donuts were, but too big for guinea pigs. I'll post a picture once I get the first one made. It might be something others would like to make for their piggies
