Well, some of you may have already seen some of my photos of Luna from my other "Meet The Pigs" thread. I wanted to formally introduce Luna to everyone because she is my little Diva and I love her so much! I also know that she would be upset if she new that Star and Pat got their own thread and she didn't. She is my "Halloween Guinea" (Halloween is one of my favorite holidays of all time). She has a white crescent moon on the top of her head that seems to have an orange horizon going down her sides, and other than that she is all black. She is still pretty young from what I can tell; definitely not over a year. The woman that I got her from had just picked her up the same day I got her. She didn't have a cage or even guinea pig food. Luna was supposed to be a present for a little boy. The woman's husband was very mad and told her she had to get rid of Luna. When I first got her I could tell that she was young and very scared. I felt so bad. I let her settle in, and soon found that she was bursting with personality. She comes right up to the front of the cage to say high and will popcorn any time you move/put something new in her cage (especially fresh hay). I did try to introduce her to the other two but they did not like her at all and it got very scary so I'm keeping them separate. I am hoping to be getting a nice job soon so that I can find her a good friend to keep her company. I'm thinking that she would do well with a baby guinea or a neutered male companion. Now I'm going to add some photos of Luna being the diva that she is! Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

They are amazing to have around! All three of my girls live in my bedroom with me, and I think that they are the best company lol. I'm very introverted so it's nice to have them to interact with!

Aww, she's gorgeous - glad she's with you now. I'm sorry the intros to your other pigs didn't go well, but there may still be hope. I've had females that have been really horrible to each other at first (or so it looks, it's just their way of doing things) but ended up being best mates. Have you seen this page on introductions? It might have some useful tips for you if you do decide to give it another go.

I remember a horrible start to a bonding, when I added a new girl to an existing pair. They did fine until I put them in the cage. As I put Harlequin and Momma in first, and Molly last. Harlequin went after Molly full tilt, totally trampling Momma in the process. Once around the cage with Molly screaming. Momma, who was top pig, had regained her composure, let Molly run past her, then totally blocked Harlequin. Harlequin had to really put on her brakes After that, they all got along fine

I really got scared when Luna went to sniff Pat, but she ended up startling pat I think. Pat lashed out and ended up taking out a clump of Luna's hair. That's when I decided to keep them apart for a while.

Got my girls as babies both but with new attempts they may settle down all pigs are different with their individual personalitys there like people in that sense some pigs like eachother some are enemy's like people.

Yes. I thought it was a cool movie. I was afraid there would be a run on guinea pigs in pet stores, the way everyone was buying Chihuahuas after Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Luckily, that didn't happen. Maybe because there was no way of mistaking the graphics guinea pigs for the real ones. I have often thought about what was going through my pigs minds, and it was fun to imagine my herd as agents

We have to get a lady friend for our Merlin soon, and I am worried about bonding if I am honest.

Done by people who really know what they're doing, you shouldn't have any problems. Also, bonding a neutered male to a female is about the easiest bonding, though there have been incidents of the two just not getting along. If they like each other, they will show it, and you'll know she's the right lady for Merlin

Thank you Piggles love. There is the Woodside Animal Shelter here somewhere in Cornwall but it doesn't have a very good reputation. My friend who owns the animal sanctuary has no ladies at the moment but we are looking around.

Maybe try online adoptions close to Cornwall, let us know if you find a lady.
