Today I noticed one of my guinea pigs urinated on the floor and it was the lightest pink color so I put her away from her sister in an all white fleece floor and I haven't noticed any discoloration of the urine since earlier today she doesn't sqeak when she pees or anything.she doesn't seem in any pain and she's defiantly not a shy Piggie and it wasn't reddish it was pinkish so what do you think?

Did you feed her anything red? That's usually the case. Also, if it's blood, it will have a round, dark center, getting lighter in concentric circles from that dark center. If it's just an overall pink color to the urine, it's usually something they ate. Excellent choice to put her in a separate section, on white bedding. Make sure she has something to drink, even some cucumber to eat, so she will pee on the white bedding. I hope it's nothing, but if it's something, you'll see it on the white bedding. Good luck

Thanks everyone, and red bell pepper, but I didn't really know it could do that and I didn't see any more pink pee so I let her back with her sister and I'm going to keep a close eye on her. I think sometimes I freak out over small things when it comes to my animals, there my babies so I turn into a worry wort, if any thing goes bad I'll be sure to post and keep all of you in the loop!

At first I was super confused cause she doesn't eat dark leafy greens, no salt licks, no mineral licks, I don't over feed pellets, all there veggies are super low in calcium but high in vitamin c,and they get oxbows urinary support tablets every day! When I seen it the first time my heart sank to my boots. I'm glad no more pink and someone told me orchard hay was lower in calcium. I was gonna buy a bag cause of my allergies but its lower in calcium so that's a win-win for me!! Does anybodys pigs have a favorite type of hay, if so what kind?

I'm still that way, especially if one of them sneezes. I'm at the cage asking who sneezed, and demanding answers, lol I had a run of UTIs through my herd a few years ago. It just seemed to go from one pig to the next to the next. That's when I studied the patterns, and realized what was and wasn't blood, and how different the spots are. It's just nerve wracking when something might be wrong with them, and they can't tell us what.

I think a certain type of person loves animals, and other just don't see them as important. I find I trust an animals reaction to a person more than I trust a persons reaction.
