Hello friends
This is just a short note to let you know that I had to have Mr Darcy put to sleep this afternoon. He declined very quickly and when Paul took him for an emergency appointment today, it transpired that he had a tumour. Obviously we are devastated but wanted to let you know. Lacy thankfully is eating and behaving normally but we are keeping an eye on her.
Lots of love Jo xx

We're not too bad thank you Bean honey and I think we are getting there with Lacy and Merley. There is quite a lot of rumble struggling and chattering but I took a photo of them this afternoon asleep and quite close to each other so I am hopeful that they are going to get on. I will post the photo soon.

That you my sweethearts for your kind words. There is a bit of chuntering and motor-boating but I hope they will come together and settle down soon. They are allowing each other to eat and get to the water it is just when they get really close at the moment that they tend to start. Only to be expected I suppose but I have seen them fall asleep nearly nose to nose so I think that is a good sign. I will keep you posted.
Hugs JO xx

I haven't been on the wheekers board much lately, so I just saw this. I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you - losing a pet is very difficult.

It's a big change all round - losing chums and meeting new ones, I suppose it's natural that they would be a bit more highly strung than normal. Once they've got used to each other, I really hope that it goes as well as male-female pairings so often do. xx

Thank you so much Whimsey darling, that is so kind of you and I appreciate it. Yes Bean you are right as usual, hitting the nail on the head. It is the circle of life isn't it I just wish it wasn't so painful?

I know what you mean, Jo. We can't stop the circle of life, but it certainly can be sad!
