I remember seeing this for the first time when I was about 7, it is brilliant.

Interesting. I'm not sure if I like it or not. It's definitely different.

It's been a while since the last video. I was in the supermarket this evening and they were blasting this track throughout the store. Such an unexpected choice. Chinese supermarkets don't usually stray from the current hits. Congrats to the guy in charge of store music

Haha! That track has memories for me.... I (age 17) broke up with a monotonously jealous boyfriend with it playing in the background. The line about 'jealous minds never satisfied', amongst others, were spot on. Funnily enough the next track that came on the radio was this (best breakup soundtrack ever!):

It is amazing how certain records bring back certain memories, that one was very specific for you Bean love. Is that a man or a woman Bean, sounds like a chap? It is certainly different Piggles love, I cannot make my mind up about that either. Is the long haired one Eddie, he is so hot?

To me, those are musical. I heard tones of Smokey Robinson and Marvin Gaye in the first one Nice to have someone still singing such songs. I remember Boyz II Men, but I was past making memories with them. You'd have to check with my daughter for those Jo, New Kids on the Block, with Donnie and Mark Wahlberg: Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch 2015/16: Mark Wahlberg's band:

I wasn't sure if Anohni was male or female either, Jo, as that picture is fairly ambiguous and I haven't seen any other images. But I just googled it and it turns out Anohni is transgender (Male-Female). I've also discovered that she was formerly Anthony from Anthony and the Johnsons, who I know my husband has some stuff by.
The NKOTB brings back memories for me too - I can remember when it first came out, me and my friends skiving off school one day (my mum's not reading this is she?!) and learning the dance routine while discussing who we fancied most! Could probably still do the dance now if anyone asked?!

Thanks for those Piggles love, some really great music there. I tried to make Donnie out but it wasn't easy as the camera didn't keep still for very long on each person. Love the words on Wild Side. Thanks for that Bean hun, I was really having trouble there lol!! Very attractive anyway.

I doubt you get New Years Rockin Eve in the UK. It's a New Years Eve show Dick Clark started back in the 70s to help young people ring in the new year from home. It was a counter to Lawrence Welk! Brian Seacrest hosts it now, and while it was originally only from Time Square in NYC, it's now from around the country and around the world. A couple of years ago, NKOTB did a song and dance routine on New Years Rockin Even, and Donnie still had the moves. He actually looked really good, better than when he was young. I think his body is a bit better now, than it was then. He's doing a bit more to keep are with his little brother, Mark Jo, I like Wild Side, too. I've liked it since Lou Reed first recorded it back in the 70s. It's still as poignant today as it was then, which is really sad Vic and I have discussed at length the lack of new music, new plots for movies and TV shows. I think that's why J.K.Rowlings books make such popular movies. It's like the Ghostbuster movies, anything goes. Ghostbusters became a semi-adult cartoon on weekday afternoons, and I loved it. J.K.Rowlings stories would make equally as good semi-adult cartoons. The adults get the insinuations, and the kids live the animation. Bean, you skipped school! I'm telling!!!

Come on Bean hunni, we have to have a video clip of you spinning on your head lol! I liked Lou Reed's music too Piggles love, I think he, Iggy Pop and David Bowie were friends and you can tell the influence each has on the other's music. Talking of music in TV programmes, a lot of the music they played in the Cold Case series was so lovely. "Heartbroken Me" is one which springs to mind.

Haha! It was so much easier back then - as long as you generally turned up and did well, you could just say you had to see the dentist/ doctor and miss a couple of hours - it'd never be checked.
Now (with my son at high school) I will apparently get a text alert within 30 minutes of school starting if he's not there and I haven't called up to explain why. Plus I have an app that shows all his attendance, his achievements and also any negative behaviour issues. He loves it now, but if he goes through a slack phase, I wonder how he'll feel about it then?!
Funny that NKOTB were on TV just a couple of years ago, and doing a good job - sounds like good fun for a New Year's Eve - out music show to see the new year in is hosted by Jools Holland who I can't bear!
This is my Friday pick!
Give me 5 minutes and I'll be back with that video of me spinning on my head, Jo!

That is a god idea Bean, texting if the kids don't arrive. Yes it was easy in ur day to skip school although we were always asked to bring a note from u8r parents so I didn't do it very often. I love this track by the Housemartins, I loved their song "Caravan" too.

Ah yes, caravan was really good too. This is another of my favourites of theirs (no video as it was just an album track).
If only you could hear me singing along to it now, I'm sure it'd brighten up your morning?!

I like the one Shades posted. The other two were so frenetic, I felt as if I needed to catch my breath. Generally not bad, though Jo, we had to bring a note from our parents explaining our absence, or have our parents call in to say we wouldn't be in and why. By the time Lesley got to school, the school would call within 30 minutes, if a student was absent and the parent didn't call in. I don't know what the system is, now, but I know Peanut has a tablet, and everything gets downloaded to that, but I'm not sure what everything is, exactly. That's just was Lesley said. We do have a website where all of Peanuts school artwork is posted, and that's really cool. We can even order it in a print, key chain, mug, cup, etc., if we want. I do think the digital world offers a lot of oversight options we and our parents didn't have, which is really good. As you said, though, should the child be a problem, we know about that, too, and they won't be happy about that.

Nice songs Bean hunni, I can't say I have heard them before but I love the two they were famous for.
Yes, we always had to bring a note Piggles love if we were absent from school. Not so much phone in then I don't think as many of the kids' parents did not have a telephone. I think my mother used to phone in when I was off sick sometimes though.

I felt like listening to this song just now, but watching the performance (well, miming and dancing) has amused me no end!
Don't make me leave the 80s!

Brings back memories, that's for sure Flashback, way, way back. I've never been into country music, but Roy Orbison had the voice Elvis Presley said he wished he had: Another 60s favorite: And of course: Another of my old favorites, starting the 70s:
