I wasn't really into Duane Eddy, but here's one of his Jo, I forgot to tell you who the guy was with the beard. That's Daryl Hall. You may remember him from Hall and Oates, when he played with John Oates. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daryl_Hall

Thanks Piggles love, this is brilliant, just the sort of music I enjoy. Yes it is amazing how many names started off their career as long ago as this and yes I do know Daryl Hall.

I have to admire his use of the harmonica, as I've never been able to master it. Not being a christian, I'm not very interested in the message, but I'm sure a lot of people are. Cool song I have to post a video from my favorite band, Metallica.

Very different sound

Interesting differences. One is a mournful harmonica rendition, and the other is a Jazz Funk rendition. Not sure which I like better, as the Jazz Funk rendition reminded me of a theme for a 70s TV show. I really couldn't get passed that.
I know the Christ the Redeemer statue. Religious devotion has resulted in some incredible works of art.

Heard this on the radio yesterday, thought it's worth an airing here. I believe it's 80s vintage

I liked Papa, Don't Preach best, though I have some good memories of things in my life when her songs were new, so I tend to like her songs. I did buy one of her albums, but playing the songs one after the other, they tend to sound the same. Another of my favorites-Tina Turner

I couldn't get into Tina Turner. I never liked her style. There's sth uncomfortable about such an old woman singing these kind of songs just checked, she's 76 now.

I like the beat of the music, but she has a voice type I just don't like. I know many singers with that voice type are extremely popular. Shades, you have to remember that Jo and I were listening when Ike and Tina Turner first released Proud Mary. She's old to you, but we've followed her for 50 years. She wasn't always an old lady, and neither were we, lol
