Hmm I wonder what it was? Definitely get one of those cameras as I'm sure it'll pass by again, even if it doesn't take your waterer for a walk!

We're thinking probably a deer, simply because deer can be very attitudinal. We had one go into the backyard and tell off the cat for lying in HER space, lol I wouldn't be at all surprised if a deer either didn't like getting womped with the spray, or just didn't like the poor yellow tractor Camera, definitely

Haha, I didn't know Deer's had attitude Piggles love and I must admit that tickled me. There used to be a tame one called Rain at Porfell animal Land and she was always ready for a cuddle. She was adorable.

Love those animal pictures. I've seen some of then on Facebook, but they never fail to make me smile Saw these doves acting strangely on the rocks of our backyard berm. They've since left, then returned and done it again, so we think it must be part of a mating ritual.

How interesting - they look kind of like a someone's spoils from a shoot?! Maybe they're sunbathing?! But you're probably right it's related to mating - there's a lot of bird love going on round here!

Love them all, Bean Had a great laugh Reminded me that a woman was bitten by an otter on a Maine beach, 4 days ago! She said she was just minding her own business, walking on the beach, and the otter ran up to her and bit her on the leg. I figure she was too close to the otters den, but the otter could also have been rabid. She's getting the treatment, just in case. I do love otters. Did any of you ladies ever read Ring of Bright Water? It's about a relationship between a Londoner living on the Scottish coast with his pet otter, Mijbil. I read that when I was really young, and ever since, all otters have been Mijbil One thing we noticed when the pidgeon was walking around our yard, was that all of the other birds who landed on the lawn, looked at him, then went about their business. Once they had determined he wasn't a predator, they were fine sharing the lawn with him. Why can't people be like that?

I've never heard of an aggressive otter! I bet it was something to do with babies, even the most docile of animals can go crazy to protect their young (even if it's from an imagined threat).
I haven't read that book, but have heard of it. It obviously made a lasting impression on you (as Watership Down did on me over rabbits!).

I think that must have been it Piggles sweetie, they are not known to attack humans. I must admit I would love to pet one. It would be lovely if we were like that but I don't think it is ever going to happen. I do know of the book and film Ring of Bright Water Bean Sweetie and I couldn't ever read/watch it. It as a very sad ending and I would be in tears for days.

Great pictures, Bean They make me smile, and a smile is always a good thing Yes, the ending was heart wrenchingly sad, which is why I never watched the movie. I think it's always why every otter I saw became Mijbil. Making up for his loss Bean, I know Watership Down his animals for characters, but I thought it was more of a commentary on human behavior, politics, wars, prejudice, etc. It's a powerful story. I had trouble reading a lot of it at a time. I've had books, even murder mystery books, that I couldn't put down, but Watership Down was one I had to put down frequently, get my emotions back under control, and face the next part. A friend of mine wrote a book called The Warren, which is a fictional tale about bunnies. I haven't read it, as my eyes are so bad, I have trouble reading much of anything. It's by Fred Tate, who was David McCallums stand in on NCIS, plus an extra on the show for many years. He is a rabbit dad, and very dedicated to rabbits. I'd really like to read it, and hope it will come out as an audio book soon. It's available through Amazon and Barnes&Noble, published by Redemption Press, not Tate Publishing. Tate Publishing stole the book, but is still apparently trying to sell the copies it has

Those pictures are fantastic Bean hunni, really funny. The one with the hare is great. Some people do take wonderful photos. I just couldn't watch or read things like that Piggles love as I would be in tears for ages so I just steer clear of them. Do you know if The Warren is sad?

Oh Watership Down is a very powerful story. I missed a lot of the parallels when I first saw it as a kid, I just loved the bunnies and was sad some of them died! But it's so much more than that, and very moving. It's one of those I stil watch now and then when it comes up on tv. Not many photos left now - glad you're both enjoying them as much as I have!
