Are you and your light in sync yet, 3piggles?!

No Hubby has finally admitted he could change them, he just hasn't gotten around to it. I got up early this morning, so before my lights came on, and before any of the lights in the great room were on, so except for the early morning light, I was watching F1 Qualifying in the dark. I love the lights, as they are my sunlight, even if there's very little outside. I always have a sunny day, or morning. We had them all set to go off around 6 p.m., so plenty of time to unwind from all that sunlight. I'll get after him tomorrow, to change the timers. Might have it done by the time we fall behind We had a flock of Redwing Blackbirds in the back yard, today, so migratory birds are returning. It's nice to see them all. Sort of our annual reunion

Come on hub, sort your wife's lights out!
Glad your birds are heading back. We've got bluetits in our birdbox again which always makes me happy!

Ooh, I googled blue tits. They are really pretty. A lot like our blue birds, only with the black markings. Nice! He said he thought he had changed the time on my lights, but they came on at the same time this morning, about 8:05 a.m. I repeatedly said I wanted them to come on at 7 a.m. That doesn't mean I'll get up, but at least when I wake up, they'll be on and encouraging me to get up, instead of turning over and going back to sleep. Now that you've reminded me, I'll mention it to him again It's cold again, with temps in the 30sF, but the sun is warm enough that more of the snow is melting, showing more patches of grass all the time. It won't be long before the snow is all gone. I love snow, so I'll miss it. I also love getting the yard going, but that's work for hubby. Hubby said the only problem with retirement is that once it gets too cold and snowy to do yard work, he didn't have anything pressing that he had to do. He's definitely looking forward to the warm weather returning. Our repotting of plants, and drowning of all the mint plants, seems to have finally gotten rid of the tiny flies. Whew! We were starting to get grossed out by the sheer number of them. Once the plants go back outside, I'll do a major vacuuming and washing of the windows and window sills, to get rid of what's left of the fly bodies or whatever is all over them.

Bad weather definitely makes keeping active in retirement a bit more complicated. It's great hub's looking forward to being able to get stuck back into all the gardening, something which you both (and all your neighbours) will appreciate.
Ah yes, the bluebirds are very pretty too. It's great to have loads of wildlife in your garden. I find I have lots more when I wear my glasses!

I'd like to feed more wildlife in the winter, but that brings deer and other destructive animals around when we're trying to grow the garden, so it's a double edged sword I do like the idea of getting the deer and turkeys to come eat where the hunters can't shoot them. If we had more space, I'd feed them. Hehehe, yes, glasses do have that effect

I love hand feeding wildlife. a swan one brought her babies out of the water to see me whereas normally they take them back into the water. that was one of the most wonderful things I have ever experienced.

We don't hand feed them, or even try to. We just put food out for them to get as they need, and watch them being themselves. Very entertaining Swans are so beautiful! We had a couple where my parents kept their boat, years ago. They would swim around the boats, and we'd all toss them food. I think we all gave them bread or crackers, which turns out not to be good for them, at all. Wish we'd known that back then. Glad you got to feed them, Jo, and the feed the babies, too

it was a lovely experience piggles love. it was the time when I was splitting with my first husband when a lot of things like this happened. I am sure someone or something was looking after me. I don't know who it was but I wish they would come back.
