Ooh, love the wreaths, Amber Very festive! We have very little space, so have a small tree that goes on a lamp table. We put the lamp away until after the holidays. It's enough for the two of us. I grew up with a big tree taking up a lot of space, and a natural one. I was a teenager when my mother bought our first artificial tree, and it was really nice. Some of them look so incredibly fake. We have an artificial tree. It comes out of the box every year, and goes back in the box after the holiday. Predecorated, so no fuss.
We also have a ceramic tree that's up and lighted year round. I just love the ceramic tree, so it's always on. If we didn't have the space, we'd probably just use the ceramic tree.
Hubby got the last of the shopping done, including finding some liquid sodium chloride stuff to spray on the walks and steps before it snows, to keep them from icing and getting a lot of snow on them. We're still slated for somewhere between 1-2 feet of snow between tonight and Wednesday, but we'll see. Often these amounts, while verified in the weather models, don't actually happen. Tomorrow is supposed to be 90% chance of snow, with most of the snow coming tomorrow, so it's doubtful we'll go swimming. That's why I'm kind of hoping we don't get that much, and it moves out sooner. If we don't get a lot of snow, the plows can keep up with it, and we should be able to go swimming. Ooh, might have the whole pool to ourselves
Our granddaughter was up overnight, and was saying she wanted her parents to decorate the outside of their house, the way we did. I told her, when we were their age, we didn't have the time or money to put to that, and neither do they. She'll have to come up here, and enjoy ours
