Although we have a Netflix account, my name isn't on it- so any e-mail I get from them is correctly assumed to be spam. So, yesterday I received an e-mail from 'Netflix" stating that my account was frozen and I needed to contact them. The dead giveaway was that they referred to me not as "customer", but rather "Costumer"!!!

Wow! Can we say Duh!? I wonder what percentage of people who received that email will follow the instructions? Most people who get scammed are stupid enough to get scammed, and scammers count on that.

The dead giveaway was that they referred to me not as "customer", but rather "Costumer"!!! Maybe they've seen your Halloween photos?! I know there's an element of our brains often automatically seeing what it expects to see, so correcting mistakes like that without us noticing. But these slimy weasels obviously don't think they need to put in much effort to get some results!

I got my car back, but there's a few parts that still haven't been replaced- but these are cosmetic, so the car is drivable. It may take another week or two, but this is no matter. We had to return the rental, as the insurance was not going to cover any more days. (We actually ran a few days over, so we're out about $150, but can't be helped.)
I was driving my wife's car, but I'm sick of being in it- it's filthy with stains everywhere and bits of old food in crevices everywhere. Absolutely disgusting. The insides of my own vehicles can get dusty, but I never leave food or anything that smells/rots in my car for any length of time. My car also never has odds & ends from who knows what inside it, like laundry or paperwork.

Glad you've got your car back.
Your wife's car does sound like a bit of a state! In my experience the worst car interiors usually belong to people with young kids. If you get a lift, you usually have to move several toys and cloths with unidentified stains on out of the way before getting to the layer of crisp/ biscuit crumbs! (Ours was never like that - if we do eat en route somewhere, everything comes out when we arrive at our destination.)

Glad you have your car back. Your wife's car sounds like my daughter's car. I really doubt getting a brand new car will stop her from trashing it the way she's trashed all of them. When she said she rolled the Jeep, both of us commented that all that junk must have fallen on her. We briefly wondered if that experience would get her to clean her car, and decided it wouldn't. My car is basically spotless. Everything is in it's place. I really don't like chaos of any kind, and for someone with ADHD, having junk all over the inside of the car is chaos. Hubby and daughter don't have that issue, only me. Enjoy having your clean car back, even if you still need a few things replaced.

I'm willing to bet my daughter will keep her car in the same state of disarray when she gets her own set of wheels. She takes after her mother in that she's a slob. Her room is also a disaster zone, with plates of leftovers and coffee cups everywhere. My wife sometimes puts her dirty laundry (like socks) on the kitchen island where we prepare food. Yecch!
My desk (and one area in the basement) is cluttered, but nothing that rots- it's all paperwork, books and notes. I can't believe how some people live.

Haha! Oh the joys of living with people who have different tidiness/ hygiene standards than you. It sounds like student days there!
3piggles, I wonder if there will be a small part of your daughter that loves the idea of keeping it looking pristine? Even if she can't actually manage to keep it that way! Or if it looks more homely to her with all her stuff strewn around. That'd drive me nuts too, even without having the experience of being hit in the fact by loads of debris after rolling my car!

She and hubby both seem to feel better when they are surrounded by stuff, clutter, garbage, whatever. They both reach points where they totally clean, declutter, and even rearrange their areas, only to have to go to the dogs very quickly.
I also think it has something to do with organization. I get myself something to eat/drink, consume it, put the plate, bowl or cup in the dishwasher. They get something to eat/drink, consume it, and leave the plate, bowl, cup where they last used it, until someone, usually me, tells them to clean up after themselves. Unlike Si and his brother who just gave in to what their mother wanted, daughter and hubby seem keen on fighting for their right not to clean up after themselves. Daughter is particularly bad, and at one point the apartment where she and Peanut were living stunk of garbage. There were bags of garbage she just never got down to the curb for collection. If I went over there, she'd clean a path through the stuff all over the floor, and a spot on the couch for me to sit. Sorry, but when you've just moved dirty diapers, old food, and who knows what else off that spot, I'm not sitting there. She's better, now, because her husband won't stand for that level of mess, and because his sister cleans the house. Daughter still just sheds everything and leaves it where it fell, but he gets on her case about it. She listens to him more than she ever listened to me.
Baz, just tell Vicki that, if she ever gets in an accident, all the garbage and trash is going to be right on top of her. Maybe she'll at least get a trash bag for it!

Your daughter does sound like she's at Olympic levels of slobbiness! I'm glad everyone else she lives with gets along okay with managing her/ tidying up after her! Has anyone else got sucked into Wordle? I was very late to the party but love it now (and got today's in two - a personal best)! www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.htmlMy daughter's just introduced me to Octordle too, and I've enjoyed playing that a few times. octordle.com/I've also had a few goes at Globle which is proper showing up my poor geography knowledge, but hopefully improving it too. globle-game.com/(I made the mistake of telling my dad about that one and he's getting it in about half the number of guesses I do each day, which is annoying!)

Some friends of mine plays Wordle and have apparently gotten very good at it. I'm not good at those puzzles. My brain doesn't seem to work that way. I hadn't heard of the other two, and checking the links didn't really tell anything about them. Does Globle give you a picture of the mystery country? I still wouldn't get it, lol I might have gotten it when I was in high school, as it was fresh in my mind, but time and an ADHD ability to forget makes it hard to remember. Also, countries have changed names since I was in high school Glad you're enjoying the puzzles

I've heard of Wordle, but have no time for puzzles right now- my life has enough complications as it is! On a related note, back when I would visit my parents when my little brother also visited, we would join forces with my dad to figure out the daily crossword puzzles. I wasn't that good at them, but whenever something movie-related would come up I would be of some use.

We all have our niche with crossword knowledge! I used to enjoy doing the daily crossword in the paper, but it requires more of an investment in time, I much prefer little things you can do in a couple of minutes when you have a spare moment.
3piggles, with Globle, you guess a country and it highlights it on the globe - the closer you are to the day's 'mystery country', the darker red it'll be. You have an unlimited number of guesses and it'll highlight the country you pick each time (or tell you if it doesn't exist!). Like you say, with knowledge gaps and countries changing names, it's not easy for all of us, even if you consult a map! I don't do it every day but my knowledge of where things are is slowly but surely improving.
And Octordle is like Wordle, but you have 8 words to guess in each puzzle (so you get more guesses and whichever letters you guess count for all 8 words - I was quite confused on my first go, despite playing Wordle, but soon got the hang of it).

They sound like fun, but I also don't have time to do them. If I get the time, I'll definitely try Wordle, but I doubt my mind has changed its ability to sort that type of puzzle. Never know if I don't try, though

I do all these in about 5 minutes total over the course of the day, so it's not a big time investment, but I totally get that puzzles aren't for everyone! I was being asked by so many people if I did Wordle for months before I tried it (because they know I love Scrabble), and just wasn't tempted.
We've had a great week weather-wise here, it's been sunny and in the high teens. Everyone's out in their shorts and t-shirts, but we have the threat of snow next week so I expect the layers will be going back on!

Nice weather! We're very up and down, no long stretches of dry weather, hot or cold. It's almost April, but the showers don't seem to know they're supposed to come in April. Climate change I used to do crosswords, and still do if I find one when I'm sitting down and can do it. My mind seems to work with crosswords, and with Scrabble, but not with puzzles where I have to rearrange the letters or fill in the missing letters. I might give Wordle a try just to see what it is. I'm sure it's on my phone.

Our weather is also unpredictable to the extreme- Last Wednesday it got as high as 75 degrees, but in the last few days there's been tiny accumulations of snow!!! Next week is supposed to be the same; temps in the high 30's- low 40's until the middle of the week, where they say we'll reach 70 degrees... until the end of the week, where it will drop back down to the 40's.
In a small way, I don't mind the cold weather right now- I work in a freezer, so leaving work is uncomfortable when you're wearing a heavy coat and thermal socks & underwear and it's T-shirt weather!!!

You need a superhero costume you can shed when you leave the building Spring has always been a very changeable season. We'll probably get our first heat wave before summer, the way the climate is going, now. I went out to walk yesterday morning in a coat, yesterday afternoon in just my sweatshirt, this morning in my bathrobe. Tomorrow morning is supposed to be below freezing. I just keep all seasons of clothes available, lol

Everyone here has put their shorts and tshirts back in the drawer for a while, but it was so nice to have a good spell.
Our clocks went forward on Saturday night/ Sunday morning - I think I'm just about back in my usual rhythm today!

I didn't have any trouble waking up when the clocks were turned back, but I had trouble getting to sleep. I'm over that, as our's went back a while ago. Still waiting to see if President Biden signs the bill into effect keeping daylight savings time and leaving the clocks alone. If he does, so daylight savings time become Eastern standard time, or does the original eastern standard time cease to exist? I'd really like them to pick one and stick with it. No more falling behind or springing ahead. Just stop messing with the time. Some great news! CA and whatever LA government is needed passed money to build a wildlife bridge in LA. It will help animals cross the busy highway, hopefully saving lots of wildlife lives Not sure when it's going to be built or exactly where, but it's a first step, and I applaud it
