Grrrr! I was trying to get out and do some yard work, cutting away the overgrowth in my back yard today... and i managed to lose the clippers. It had rained, and the sun came out so I rushed out to trim away the branches. I was trying to toss what I'd cut over a hedge when the clippers slipped and flew away. I didn't hear them land, so they might be stuck in the hedge. I wasted about 15 minutes looking for them, then gave up. They're green & black and therefore blend in nicely with all the shrubbery.
I'll just buy a new pair later this week- there's still lots to get rid of, although I eliminated the worst offenders in the past few days.

If you get another pair and then the original ones turn up (which is inevitable!), you could do a two-handed job, like Edward Scissorhands. I lost my favourite sharp knife a few years back. A couple of years later, I was getting compost out of the compost bin at the bottom of our garden, where all the veg scraps go, and there it was, no worse for its adventure! I'd already found a new favourite knife by that point, but it's still doing a good job.

Wow! I don't think I've ever had that happen. Usually I put them down somewhere, and forget where. I hope you find them. Maybe put some bright colored tape on the handles so you can see them. Once you get the everything trimmed back, you'll find them.

Well, if you really want to spend the money on a plane ticket just for that, be my guest. I did run out to a hardware store and buy another pair, ones that are suitable for trimming 1" thick branches, so I'm back in business! I do think the other pair will turn up once the leaves fall off all the shrubbery. Hope they're rust-resistant.

Well, if you really want to spend the money on a plane ticket just for that, be my guest. I'm quite good at finding lost things (that other people have lost anyway, not my own lost things), so I quite like the challenge - not very cost effective though!

Glad you got another pair, and I also think the old ones will show up once the leaves are gone. Even if they get rusted, there are things like WD-40 and Coca Cola that are supposed to take off rust

The new clippers are working just great, but I still look around for the previous pair. No luck yet, but I'm REALLY curious as to where they landed. I'll find out eventually.

Make sure you let us know when they do, even if it's in 5 years!
