Thanks for the kind words about the hayloft. I had fun creating it. It was one of those rainy day projects when I was trying to find a way to give them lots of hay without them being able to use it as a bathroom. My first try wasn't too stable, and when LG immediately jumped to the second level, I had to connect everything with cable ties to make it stable. The kids love it. LG spends lots of time on the second level, sleeping in the hay. Zippy is a typical boy, loves to get dirty and is so proud of himself when he does, lol. Momma is my little sweety. She doesn't jump up or get very dirty. She's a lady, lol. A Piggytine's Day pic of Momma loving her endive. I couldn't get the other two to pose. Every time I got one ready, the phone rang. Since piggies have the attention span of a gnat, it's pose of phone call, but not both, lol.

Thanks, KJ. I never seem to get pics of special events, so I'm always pleased with myself when I actually remember to take the pics, lol. I promised some Zippy nose pics, so here they are: I tried taking some new Zippy nose pics, but he stuck his nose right in the camera lens, then decided he didn't want his pigture taken, after all, lol.

The original and ultimate Zippy nose pigture, lol: Zippy as Tammy Faye Baker. I was experimenting with one of the pic editing programs, and got this pic that looks as if Zippy is wearing tons of eye makeup. Too bad there aren't any piggy modelling agencies I could have sent the pigture to, lol Other noses, just as cute: Fudgy Momma trying not to get her picture taken. Little Girl (LG) pretending she doesn't see me taking her pigture. For all my lying and crawling around on the floor trying to catch them in great situations, the results were pretty bad, lol.

I don't think I have a pigture of my beloved Dallas on here. He died two days after Thanksgiving, two years ago, and I still get teary thinking about him. Here he is with a young Zippy.

This is Zippy with his late cagemate, Grishy (Mr. Grisham). Grishy was such a clown. He loved to roll over and look cute to get snacks. He died in March 2007 of a very sudden, stress induced URI, while being boarded at the vet's.

My wooden houses were pretty old and ucky, so they're gone. I have one plastic pigloo and the turtleloo, and four of these wall pocket hidey houses I bought at Ikea: I jsut checked Ikea on-line, and couldn't find them. Has anyone seen them at the store or on-line, and knows what department/category where they'd be found?

Has anyone seen them at the store or on-line, and knows what department/category where they'd be found? Funny you should ask! I was just at Ikea two days ago and I saw those and wondered if they would make good hidey houses too! I believe I saw them in the children's dept. area at the store where they had playroom stuff, but I am not positive. I have to go back to Ikea in a day or two so I will look again for you.

Yes, Clover, I have wonderful memories, and my angel piggies are still very much with me. I wish I'd taken pics of Dakota before he died, but he and Dallas were in my daughter's room until he got so sick I took them away from her. By then, i was trying to save him, not take his pic. When I lost Dallas, I was so broken up, Pigjes had to write a eulogy for me, as I couldn't do it. My sweet little clown, Grishy, is still with me, here on my desk in a nice little container.
Val, I went to the children's section on line, and couldn't find them, which is why I wondered if they were still at Ikea. If anyone finds an on-line like, I'm trying to get it to HarleysMummy, so she can see the colors available, etc. And yes, they make good hideys. I think Pigjes and a couple of others found them at Ikea several years ago, and they've been good houses.

I got to play piggy games tonight. I was cleaning the poos and dirty hay out of the cage, and came to the last hidey. LG was in the hidey, and Zippy was to the side of it. There's a towel under the hidey, with part of it sticking out. I tried to pull the towel out of the hidey, and LG pulled it back. I repeated my performance, and so did she. Then Zippy grabbed the towel nearest him, and started to pull it in that direction. LG pulled back. I joined Zippy pulling in my direction, and LG worked twice as hard to keep all of the towel in the hidey. Then she started getting irritated with us, chuttering and bumping the hidey all over the place. Zippy grabbed the towel and pulled, and most of it came out. LG came out too, so Zippy jumped in, and started pulling the towel back into the hidey. LG took Zippy's place, pulling the towel back out, still chuttering and popcorning once in a while, with the towel in her mouth. Finally Momma came down from the upper level and joined in the game, jumping into the hidey to force Zippy out, then LG jumped in and pushed Momma out, etc. I bowed out, then, as I was too big to take my turn in the hidey. I was so happy to be included in their game. They treated me as one of the piggy players in a game I could follow. Oh, they're so nice to me!!!! lol.
