ok, I'm a paranoid piggie owner but Jack's my baby...Is it normal ish for pigs to do there business in their igloo/house and almost like stockpile it so its hidden?
Cleaned his cage this morning checked on him tonight and he's almost guarding it like his life depended on it
Thanks for all advice given in my last post I've now graduated to chief carrot/treat giver/he'll eat from my had and he's ok with me holding him...got picking up to master next

lol Yes, piggies prefer to do their business where they feel safest. This is usually where they like to sleep too I'm afraid! There's not much you can do about this really, it's one of those silly pig habits.
Well done with the eating from the hand, it sounds as if you're making good progress!

Mine don't care where they go. I had Wiggy decide to use the bathroom while I was holding him earlier. When I clean their cage man do they go for it...lol

Some people remove the hiding places and you might try it so the pig gets used to you and the environment. That way he won't have his own private toilet and may end up going in one area such as a corner of the cage. You can put the hiding area back in at night or drape a towel over the top and one side if you wish.

licorice tends to stay in one corner of her cage to do her business (though much of it gets drug around...) the opposite corner is her "sleeping" corner . Its much better than when she used to go in her food dish. one of the piggies i used to have was a pooping machine... especially under stress... when we would clip her nails, we had to hold a towel under her because she would poop like there was no tomorrow!! just one of her little quirks, i guess

As for progress Jack will willingly now sit on my lap eating cooing and squeaking happily but mam comes near and he'll scrabble across sofa to hide behind dad...haven't quite mastered super quickn guinea pig catching reflexes yet.....boy can he move

At first Sally pooed everywhere in the cage and it was such a hassel to clean even though I had a special place for her to poop. After about a month she started using her "bathroom" so I change the newspaper in it everyday and wash it. It's so funny, I said "bathroom" because that is where she washes up and grooms herself and that is where i put a mirror that I bought. So she does everything a person does in their bathroom. Don't worry, she doesn't chew on the mirror, she did at first but she finally realized it was not her wood stick in a big form.

If we could only recycle all of these poos like we recycle aluminum cans, we'd be rich!

But in this case 'babes' is kind of general and I like to splatter it all over on random people. But that's not the point of my post anyway!!

Dear you really must catch up No need for me to catch up ... it's sexist and demeaning. Definitely wouldn't fly in any workplace in the US where I have worked since a lawsuit might follow. Perhaps others need to catch up?

Meh. Rather non-applicable given the context & medium.
Are you married, skipperdoo?
