In the time I've been here at Wheekers, perhaps I am just too blind, or what have you, but:
Is Wheekers set up to email when a reply is listed? I am having a heap of trouble remembering what I've replied to, etc., and it would be wonderful if emails were sent when someone replies to a thread we'd like notification of.
If you have this already, please point me in the right direction!
If not, is this something you'd consider adding, or is it too much a pain?
Many thanks!

If you click the bookmark icon at the bottom left of the left (next to the search button) it will bookmark the thread for you. You can access all threads you bookmark together through your profile. Go in to your profile (button under the Wheekers banner) then select 'bookmarks'. You can also choose to set it to email or pm you when someone posts in that thread.
Well, I for one didn't know that until now lol.

Thank you! Thank you!
I had seen the bookmark thingie but couldn't figure out what it did. I set it up now, though, and be very happy!
Don't want to miss one exciting thing said!

Good question. I wondered about it myself.

And it's working, now, too!! No more missed information, like I did with you and Katie, Kathy!

It's the pig next to the Search pig on the left; the one that says 'bookmark.' The 'mail topic' pig I guess can be used to mail to yourself or to other.
When you click on the 'bookmark' tab, then you can click on the 'profile' tab under the Wheekers header.
When there, there's a bookmarks word in blue, and when you click on that it will bring you to a page with your currently 'bookmarked' topics.
To get it to email yourself, click on 'manage bookmarks' on the right. You can individually decided how and if you'd like these topics to be handled. I just set the 'by default' down at the bottom to email me new replies to any bookmarked title.
Then click on the 'update preferences' tab.
I am so happy to have found this out, thanks Treen!!

I think I'm still lost. You have to do all of the above to get an email that someone has posted to a thread? If so, I had it bookmarked and got no email.

That's what I couldn't understand. I had it bookmarked, but nothing would happen.
But if you go to bookmarked topics under your profile, then manage bookmarks, you should be able to set a default to email you all new replies on your bookmarked topics.

Okay ... just went and did it and then it deleted the one that I had bookmarked (this one). I think I'll look at it later when I have nothing to do.

You'll figure it out. If I did, you can too. But it did take me a while. If Treen hadn't said what she said above I'd have given up.
Just felt so bad missing so much on Katie, and I do hate digging for all the thread trying to find what I was following.

Okay, I think I "got it". I was clicking the thread bookmark and then went up to manage them and it would delete it (I did it again). What one needs to do apparently is to manage (set the preferences) first and then start marking threads that one wants to be notified about.

I wonder what's going on? I definitely didn't find it easy, but it's working. You set default to email?

Yes; twice. I'll go check again.
EDIT: Both places and I saved/updated it again.
