Till recently, when I returned to the forum, the posts that were made that same day, that I already read, were not marked as new posts. Now, they remain labeled new posts, even if I posted myself in a thread, the same day. Yet, when I return the day after, that doesn't happen. Hmmm, weird.

Will have a quick look at the mothership to see if there is a thread there.
I've just clicked on a few KJ and the 'new' vanishes once the thread has been visited.
Maybe if the person who made the thread has posted after you so it might become 'new again? I rarely follow the 'new' icons and follow the date instead so haven't observed what the 'new' get up to.

I'm confused, where does it say "New Posts"?

Sorry Val, its just 'new' if you go to guinea pig chat for example, you'll see the little word 'new with a circle around it.

Jackie, I noticed this happening to.
What I noticed is that if you post in a thread yourself when you next log in that post will be marked as new even though you made it yourself. That didn't happen before.

I see Lesa, I can't see anything about it at probroads.
Will just log out and see if the posts I've visited come back as 'new'
I've just posted in your thread Lesa as I was wanting to anyway and I then logged out and logged in again and the 'new' is no longer there which is right isn't it? So you and KJ are saying that isn't happening for you? Sorry I didn't get much sleep last night so have my dozy duck head on lol

are you new?
Or were you just new before and I think your new but really you were here before me but then I logged in and out and in again and thus became old which in turn made you new again?

Oh my gawd, I hate to admit this but I have no clue what you are talking about? Somebody shoot me and put me out of my misery! Are you talking about pictures on photobucket? ***edit*** OH I SEE! I always wondered why it would say "new"! lol So, does the "new" appear only when I have not read that thread THAT DAY or does it appear every time a new posting is made on the same day? I never knew seeing that "new" was of any value to aleart you to reading the posts before. Does that make me a dum dum? Watch it Treen!

C'mon now ladies, thinking caps on!
That's right Jackie. If I replied to the post you made in my thread, logged out and came back in the NEW would be beside that thread.
