Hey clover, hehe, depends on what kind of rock they mean, we have a few sweet shops on sea front and of course the pier where 'Brighton Rock' is sold, but I've heard its often not made in Brighton (and I've never personally seen a sweetie factory here.. damn) Then again seeing as it is queen, they could be referring to the rock'n'roll version, Brightons quite famous for the fights between the punks and the rocks here in the 70s, and the rock (and general alternative) scene is very big here..

Susie - I wanted to leave home, although Durham has a good reputation, for Psychology (which I study), York actually has the second best department in the country. It's just a nice distance away from home - far enough away for my parents not to be able to pop in unannounced, lol. I didn't fancy venturing too far south really! I love both Durham and York. In Durham I've got a part time job in the local Marriott hotel, where I've worked for almost 4 years, so it's always nice to go back and see familiar faces, catch up on the gossip! It's also a really pretty place. However, York is just beautiful, it's just that bit bigger, so there's more to do than in Durham (not difficult, lol). I do miss the hills when I'm away though, York is so flat! I guess, at the end of the day, it's the independence I like most about studying away from home. My mam is quite...interfering is a horrible way to put it, but you know what I mean? Always wanting to know exactly what I'm doing, when, and with who, laying down the law. Although it's her house, when you're used to doing what you like when you like, it's difficult to get used to, lol. Luckily I'm heading back to York on Sunday, can't wait to get back and see everyone, have made some brilliant friends down there. I really ought to shut up and stop waffling, lol, sorry!

I live in Alabama- yee haw
I went to school in Kentucky, though- Hazzard County- neat to see you Kentuckians on here!
Actually, I love Alabama. Except for the humidity. I could do without the humidity. And I wish we had more obvious season changes- but here it's like the trees start to blossum then BOOM! It's hot! ANd then later in the year, the leaves start to turn then BOOM! it cold! If you blink, you miss it!
