Oh I love that one! Me and the husband have a vague plan of driving across the States in a winnebago after we retire - he did it with a friend during his uni years and really enjoyed it (although they had to sleep in a car for a lot of the time as money was super tight!). Getting some good ideas for things to stick on the 'to see' list here!

I still want to drive across the states in a Winnebago, or other RV There are some fabulous places, like The Painted Desert, that I'd really love to see

It just takes money we don't have, to buy a reliable RV that will travel that far without need of repairs. Hubby is also whining about having to do all that driving, so he's not really on board with the idea. I think he would be if daughter lived a long way off, and we needed to drive a long way to visit her.

If anyone's looking for ideas, I can provide plenty.
I can't say I've been everywhere, but I have been to many interesting places, and I'll be more than happy to share them: This is in Wyoming, somewhere along highway 25: This is in Grand Teton National Park, also in Wyoming:

Very cool! I was going to say I'll have to dig out some photos from Brimham Rock as there are amazing rock formations there, but I know how likely it is I'll do it before I forget, so here's a picture of Idol Rock. Lots of people have photos taken like they're holding it up, or lie underneath it!

All this talk of rock formations means I must drag out my Utah pics... The top picture is Steven Spielberg and the cast of boy scouts from the 1989 movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, which part of which was filmed at Arches National Park. The bottom pic is of me, almost but not quite in the same spot.

I'm not the only one thinking those rocks remind me of something else am I?!
It looks crazy doesn't it Jo? Formations like that are just made by erosion by wind, water and ice. Amazing what different shapes pop up depending on the unique conditions of the environment and the composition of the rock itself.

Ha ha No Bean, I thought that too LOL! I just think it is amazing how all those big rocks can stand on the little chap at the bottom without toppling, nature is very strange.
