Thanks my love for your kind post and I can confirm that Holly is indeed a little girl.
I am waiting to hear from the lady at the rescue to tell me if she has been spayed or not because the vet cannot tell short of shaving her little tum and looking for a scar. They have been very loving today again, sitting next to me huddled up together; I just hope it continues. Thanks you all so very much and I will keep you psted.
Hugs

It seems more and more as if they just weren't ready for the intrusion of someone outside the family. They may consider the house to be their territory, and were still in the phase of deciding who would control what areas, when your friend arrived. Hopefully they will be totally settled and bonded soon, and won't mind visitors!

Thank you darlings for your kind advice.
Yes, they are fine at the moment except at night, when Binky comes up for a love and a treat and then she bites him. They are snuggling up now which is just lovely to see, they are both binkying and lying on their sides so this is all good. The trouble now is, Holly has just chewed a big hole in our sofa, Paul is furious. Time for a cover me thinks.
Binky is coming up for 2 Margaret love and we have been told that Holly is 3. I will keep you updated.

Oooh dear about the sofa - hope a lovely new cover distracts Paul from being cross about it!
Glad the buns are being fairly harmonious at the moment anyway, good news.

I have no idea how to train a rabbit not to chew. I wonder why she does it? I hope you can find a decent cover you like, and she doesn't chew that, next!

Thank you ladies so much, I think Paul was only angry for a moment, he loves her as much as I do but we have put some covers on it and tucked them right into the corner. Rabbits chew 3piggles love to keep their teeth in good shape so a bookcase or a piece of wooden furniture is ideal (!!) Also they see wires as tree roots and a few other thigs around the home as relating to what they would find in the wild, so you just have to get into a bunny's head LOL!!

Sorry, I meant why she chewed the couch, and not something else. I had house rabbits, and they are as destructive as piggies. More so since they have bigger teeth and can reach higher. We had to block the pigs from things we didn't want them to chew, same for the buns. Ended up with some weird looking protection around furniture legs, but it worked Wires just have to be gotten out of reach. No wire is safe. But my buns never went after the soft parts of the furniture, only the wooden parts. Mopsy did do a job on the edges of the wallpaper, anywhere she could get her teeth on a big enough piece, and I think she worked at the pieces to make them big enough

My sister in law has a house rabbit.....long story her 18 yr old son appeared with it! Anyway I never realised how intelligent they are. This rabbit uses a litter tray and paws at my sister in law to put a cushion on the laminate floor so it can get a better grip to jump on her knee. It makes it so worse for me now to think of rabbits caged in a hutch alone. X

I have so many bunny friends on Facebook, and have learned so much. I did everything wrong with Mopsy. Took the advice of people I thought should know, and they didn't. It was much different with the other buns. Freddy was a house bun when he wanted to be, but he actually lived under the kitchen porch. We got a bunch of buns from a neighbor who was going to release and hunt them. They lived in a bunch of open hutches in a fenced area, with food, hay, water and veggies. A lot of the local buns moved in and out of the enclosure, and eventually most moved out into the wild. We did get BunBun and Little Bun, Freddy's sons. Little Bun is the one that rode up to daughters school the last day of 4th grade, standing on the seat of my Jeep Wrangler, hands on the door and ears flying in the breeze. We drove in and a whole school for of students and teachers stopped and pointed at the bunny If I did a house bunny again, I know so much more now, and would do it so differently!

Thank you for your kind reply 3poggles love and I have no idea why she has chosen ths particular corner to chew. It is the right one at the back and we have had to cover it comletely now because she just pulls the cloth away and starts chewing again. The piggies' run serves as protection from all electric wires and the furniture well, we have just given up on it but if we ever get aything new, I will indeed cover the legs with somethig bun proof, that is a great idea. Mr Snuffles was the worst chewer though, he literally bunned evernything including wallpaper and skirttng boards. You are rght love, they are very intelligent.
Yes Margaret love, we are always trying to push the RWA slogan "A Hutch Is Not Enough" and many places now only sell hutches at a certan size. Many are left alone in hutches, I wish I could say that they weren;t and it makes me so angry. Buns are just gorgeous company and like you, I cannot bear the thought of any being hutched, never to come out or have any love. We have all done things wrong to start wth 3piggles love, I have learned so very much snce I had my first bun but gradually, more people are accepting and realising that these little chums should be loved and cherished and given adequate exercise and a variety of food; not to mention lots of love and attention.

Jo, this is a good picture of the stuff I used to stop the pigs from chewing furniture legs. It would also work on the couch, though you would probably have to staple it to the furniture. I just cut it in strips and wrapped it around all the furniture legs I didn't want chewed. www.midlandhardware.com/111499.html?gclid=CMu5gtmPzLwCFS_xOgodpDsAqQ

Good site and good idea Piggles, but so expensive compared to Britain, we can buy it by the yard at most retail parks.......Jo get down to carpet right or somewhere like that. Xx

I bought it by the yard for a lot less at the local DIY store. I think that was the top variety. Nice if I want to protect carpets, but pricey to wrap furniture legs.

Thanks for the advice my dear friejnds and it is worth a go. The trouble is, she is now attacking our sofa so we have had to put thick covers in the settee and the chair. Poor little love, it is because she is hormonal, she can;t help it. The sooner she is spayed the better.
Once again chums, thanks for the kind advice.

You are right Margaret love, I know what I used to be like LOL! I will pop into carpet world and see what I can find, the square of carpet in the sitting room is due to be changed but we don't know how much it is going to cost as I want a patterned carpet this time which doesn't show little "Whoopsies" up so easily LOL!
Yes, I wish I could have her spayed now but we are just paying one bill off and don't want to be cheeky and ask if we can have her done until it is. Also, we pay half the bill up front and we don't have the money at the moment. I think she is having a very confused time the poor little love so as soon as we are able, we will make her more settled.

Still it's probably better to let her have a season anyway for her health. Only guessing though as I don't know about Rabbits xxx

You may well be right Margaret love. We were told she was 3, but I have my doubts, think she may well be younger.
