I have never heard that from a piggy before? He doesn't actually make that sound; I added that in for humor value! (that clip was part of a birthday celebration video for my daughter, I thought it would be funny to hear Oscar sound like that.) (And that's him as my avatar, wearing a plastic hat from one of my daughter's dolls.) Thanks for the welcome!

Hello and welcome Oscar is gorgeous, and I love the sound you made for him. My Morty is a talker. He has something to say about every thing Most members start a thread here in Meet the Pigs, and use it as a journal of all the pictures and news about their pigs. Feel free to start one, and enjoy the forum

My intent was strictly to amuse everyone, not to deceive anyone. Haha! That's been done doubly - from the clip and from my dear friends getting confused! Love it!

I will probably have to come up with something else equally amusing, then! In the meantime, here is Oscar in one of his common (and yet so dramatic) poses! And I'll just use this thread to introduce Deo... if he ever feels like being not so shy!

Aww what a gorgeous picture of Oscar - he looks so dignified! And little Deo looks so sweet - my money's on him being the boss pig, he has that self assured look in his eye, even if he is being shy with the camera!

Gorgeous boys! I love their markings, and it's always fun to see a pig like Oscar, who embraces life

Nothing new to report, other than I'm taking them out regularly whenever it's not raining. They still get mad at each other- I've been putting their little pigloos out in their play area, and they each try to occupy the others' pigloo. Needless to say, tempers rise pretty quickly! Also, they seem to be reluctant to go back in their cages, although I can't blame them- but they also resist getting out of them in the first place, so go figure! (They're currently getting 45-60 minutes of outside exercise.) Here's some more pics! Deo frequently looks up; I don't know why. Oscar seldom looks up, unless something gets his attention. Maybe Deo's just a dreamer...

Aww what gorgeous pictures - that one of Oscar should be on the front of a calendar!
I find that hideys with more than one entrance/ exit work best, especially during intros - then one can just slip out rather than it being a confrontation over who gets shoehorned out! Cardboard boxes work well for that as you can easily chop them up - and if they're the right height so the pigs can jump up on them too, even better as it's an extra place to explore and keep out of the way of the other one!

Great pictures, and gorgeous piggies I've found pigs have certain jobs within the herd. Perhaps Deo has the better hearing and sense of smell, so he's the lookout pig. I've had lookout pigs, explorer pigs who checked everything out before the others followed, boss pigs, talker pigs who had the loudest voice to call for treats, etc. They smell a lot of things we don't

I took your advice, Bean- worked out great! I have two boxes cut with two exits, so this should keep them busy until I can find more playthings.
