This thread's for all of us, for any video we want to share. (Including anything cavy-related!)
I'll start with something relaxing- the sound of Lake Superior!
I LOVE the sound of this lake- there is no sand, just millions of tiny black pebbles that make a pleasant whispering sound as the water recedes. The pictures are also from my trip to Minnesota.
Also, here's the highlights reel from my trip to China!

Thanks for sharing that - great to see you and your lovely family taking in the sights. It really is a country of contrast with the old, traditional and beautiful buildings and places, and the cool space age stuff just around the corner. I love your daughter's bouncy enthusiasm for everything too!
I like the clinking stones, very soothing!
I actually took my camera down from the shelf the other day with the aim of getting some good animal pics soon (my kids will just pull gormless faces at me if I try to snap them!) as you've made me realise how rubbish I've been lately! But it hasn't actually made it past the point of battery charging yet...

Love the sounds of the lake. I grew up by the ocean, and loved the sound of the water lapping on the shore. That was such a serene sound, and I love the light house As for the China reel, WOW! I also love your daughters bouncy enthusiasm. She's adorable

Thanks hun, I am not really that technical but it is a great thread. Hugs JO xx Not to worry, I've seen other boards where people get ridiculously territorial about their threads; I just want people to know it's fine to post their stuff here if they have anything they want to share. Since my daughter seems to be a hit, get a load of these vids: This is nothing more than part of a clip she and I did for fun while Mommy was in New York for business. If anyone remembers Cheech and Chong from the 1970's, this is my daughter and I re-enacting an old sketch of theirs with some minor tweaks (The sketch was originally called "Dave".)

Haha! Don't know the show, but that was cute and funny!
My kids and their cousin make videos together from time to time, but their performances (and plotlines) leave them firmly in the 'only to be viewed by family' category! They have so many ideas and always change their mind about the story about 50 times en route! My editing is expected to correct them mixing up their lines too...? Got them all here today, so I should prepare myself!

I don't think anyone who ever heard "Dave" could possibly forget it. For those who don't know it, it was Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong doing a skit. They are stoners(on drugs). Dave leaves the apartment, and tells his roommate(can't remember that characters name) not to let anyone in until he gets back. When he returns, his friend won't let him in, because he's too stoned to understand that he's Dave. It's silly funny Love the videos You're daughter is great, and you two remind me of Castle and his daughter, Alexis(TV show)

(It amused me to have my daughter and I re-enact 1970's drug humor. It will probably be even funnier 20 years from now when I show this to her children.) Something a little more serious- the video of the Forbidden City!

I think the Dave routine was such a keeper, we're all still quoting it 40 years later. As you said, 20 years from now, it will get a revival when her kids see it The Forbidden City is really an incredible place. It's great to have such fabulous historical monuments to view, and to help bring history to life. Too bad the greatest architecture and monuments came from the "1 has everything, all the rest have nothing" eras. Bottom line budgeting without being able to tax the peasants to death or work the peasants to death, really put a damper on building more fantastic monuments.

Too bad the greatest architecture and monuments came from the "1 has everything, all the rest have nothing" eras. Agreed; that's why when I go on vacations, I usually try to stick to national parks. That said, here's a taste of Yellowstone National Park: (This is actually a highlights reel of Wyoming and South Dakota, sights on my trip back in 2009.)

Wow! The US has so many incredible natural places, I'm always a bit amazed at the number of people who only go overseas to vacation. I always wanted to get an RV and travel around to see all these incredible sites. Great video

Thank you for sharing these two wonderful videos with us love. I was trying to imagine what it was like in the Forbidden City during imperialist China, all those beautiful silk robes they used to wear.

Just catching up with your latest vids - the national park one is amazing, lots of wonderful natural beauty.
I had to put a jumper on just to watch the New York one! Looks like fun though, we just tend to be a bit wussy and do our city exploration breaks when it's milder!

Great video love, thanks for sharing, I love the soundtrack too, who is it please? Hugs JO xx Jo, the song is called "Hey Ahab" and is a duet between Elton John and Leon Russell from their album "The Union". Funny thing is, when I was originally editing everything together I was using music from the movie Apollo 13, but after watching part of it... it just didn't work. I wanted something else more fun, so I used this song, which has nothing to do with the trip; I just liked it. Bean, it was definitely cold when we went! We were just visiting family on my wife's side and the opportunity came in the winter of 2011. I would like to go back, but sometime when it's warmer.

This is a little trailer for my trip to Utah:
A little clarification about the dialogue: Back in 2002, I heard a conversation about how beautiful Utah was, and that planted a seed in my mind to go see it. I didn't get the chance until 2012, so that's where the line "I've been waiting ten years to see this" comes in.

Thanks for sharing again hunny, you see so many beautiful places and I feel as of I have visited them too in a way. Being disabled it is something I will not be doing but I can still look at these beautiful places and feel as if I have at least seen a little of them. Thank you so much.
