Yes Jo! Those gorgeous little mouths! Hand feeding her is making her a bit more brave too. Had a panic yesterday because I thought I felt a lump on her. Turned out to be her back bone at the bottom I could feel.
Hopefully now she's in a smaller group and can get the food she will start to put on weight.

I love the interaction of hand feeding them. So much of their personality comes out then. It's not just a nomfest in the cage

Oh love her, I do hope she starts too put weight on and gets her fair share. If Lacy Jane had her way, Darcy would never have a morsel. You are right Piggles hun, the interaction is wonderful and you get to know who is greedy LOL!!

Morty and Mia have a treat ritual. I give Morty the first treat. Mia steals it from him, they he gets the second treat. He never objects to her taking it. I think they know they are both going to get treats, but Mia is definitely the boss pig. Feed the boss pig first

The new girls have been here just over two weeks now. They're settling in great. Peaches now joins in with wheeking and Dolly will show interest but hasn't found her voice yet. She is still quite shy but she is making progress.

Yes that's true. Brillo had a voice loud enough for 10 piggies so Jackson would never bother joining in.

Darcy and Lacy-Jane wheek quite a lot whereas Merlin only chortles. We only have to rattle something and they start LOL!!

Momo rarely talked, and Morty and Mia are more talkers than wheekers. Zippy and Dallas were talkers, but Dallas would wheek an ear splitter if someone had an orange, and didn't share with him. Harlequin was my best talker, and she didn't waste words. She only talked when it was necessary. Much more effective that way When Dallas lost his first cage mate, Dakota, he would cry more than wheek, whenever I left the room. Such a sad sound. So I got him Zippy!

We cleaned our piggies runs out today and firstly I had Mr Darcy and Lacy on my lap, once they were returned I had Merley. Of course he could smell Lacy and did a lot of rumbling whilst being held. He calmed down after a while but I felt quite shaken up LOL!!

When I had Zippy and Grishy, Grishy got extremely jealous of Zippy. I had to wear a smock when I held Zippy, then remove it and wash any exposed skin, before I picked up Grishy. Otherwise, Grishy would go nuts trying to destroy any place he smelled Zippy. I even put lotion on the exposed skin, just to cover any residual Zippy odors.
