Hey guys!!
I introduced Violet and Sage and....................
They're roomates!!
I called the vet, and he said since Sage's bump thing is healed up...they can be intoduced.
Everyone's doing well. I don't know who the dominant pig is...but I don't think that matters.
They're friends! Yeah!

Congrats! I know it was a relief when my pigs were getting along. Hope your pigs keep up their good manners! ;D

That's wonderful!!! All pigs set up their herd hierarchies differently. Some dominant ones just make their point and move on. Some have to reassert themselves regularly. Don't be surprised or upset if the dominant one puts the other in her place once in a while.

Great news!
Dominance behaviours are rumbling, bum wiggling (we usually call the combination of the two rumblestrutting), head butting, nipping etc. The top piggy has first choice of everything from sleeping place to food choice.
How much dominance you see depends on how dominant by nature the top piggy is, how big the age gap and how closely contested the top spot is.

Congratulations! I am happy for you. They will be a lot more fun and they will be happier now that they have each other.

Alright No dominance issues...so I've seen. They are both around the same age....about 3-4 months old. Would this be okay?
They share Violets 'special log', and she has absouloutely no problem with it. That was what I was scared of. They also share the big house....no problem. They'll even eat next to eachother.
Thanks guys!

Usually the worst of the vying for dominance is over within the first hour or so, followed by additional little spats here and there (depending on how adamant the dominant pig is), so if it looks like Violet is sharing her special spots and food, then you may just have a well matched pair!
