I have invested in some vetbed for my Guinea's cages and I think it is brill. It was quite expensive at £14 per 1 metre by 1.5 metre piece www.ebay.co.uk but, I bought two sheets and it made three lots for my three cages that is 3 changes each so that I can have one set in the cages, one set in the wash and one spare set. I have had it a week now and have changed it every other day which is very easy to do, just lift out and pop in the wash. It dries very quickly too. No longer the waste of food either as it can be easily picked up and popped back in the food bowl if it gets spilt also dropping are easily removed. I tend to do it three or four times a day just to keep on top of it. Vetbed is so clean too no more messy shavings to cling to the fur/food or spill out onto the floor and what's more the vetbed absorbs the liquids so that the top stays dry. I would highly recommend trying it, I am sure you wont look back.

It is great stuff if you want to use washable bedding - much better than towels or fleece. And especially if you have any poorly pigs that need to be on towels because of stitches, or so you can monitor their output. It's so absorbant, all the dampness just soaks down so they stay nice and dry. They look so cosy snuggling down on it too!
It wasn't the best bedding solution for me because of all the washing. I found it hard to get all the hay and hair off first, and lint seemed to gather in my washing machine. But I still thought it was good and have kept hold of it for future use.
The shop at the Squeaky Pigs Rescue sells 20" x 22" pieces for £5 (http://www.squeakypigsrescue.co.uk/shop.htm) which is really good value, and all profits go to a good cause!
Oh and welcome to Wheekers howardjonesuk!

Welcome to Wheekers howardjonesuk! I think I'll have to invest in some as I went through alot of towels recently when my Clover was poorly. How many piggies do you have?
