Oh I'm glad I found the lyrics. In the UK, Joe Pasquale sang this song on his show, it was so funny.
So when he smiles, he's just a grinny pig, And when he drives, then he's a mini pig, And when he smokes, he's a naughty nicotiny pig, nicotiny pig, that's that guinea pig of ours.
When he says don't, he's strict discipliny pig, And when he eats chinese, these he's a mandariny pig, When he plays strings, then he's a Russian violiny pig, violiny pig, that's that guinea pig of ours.
And when he throws, then he's a jolly javeliny pig, Then he gets on his toes, and does his watch me spin-ney pig, And when he slows, he's been a one too many guinea pig, that guzzling guinea pig of ours.
And when he slims, he becomes quite a skinny pig, Instead of sugar in his tea, he would rather sachariny pig, Then he bakes a chocolate cake, puts on a very pretty pinny pig, pretty pinny pig, that's that guinea pig of ours.
When he goes out, he's not an in-ny pig, When he turns over a new leaf, then he's a new beginney pig, And when he dies, he'll be a has Beeny pig, I will put him in the binny pig,
with flowers,
And say farewell, to that old... grinny, violiny, in a mini, nicotiny, javaliny, skinny guinea pig, of ours.

So cute! I wish I could have heard it sung. But put him in the binny?! Euwww! I just informed my brother, who is taking care of my girls while we're on vacation, that if Milano dies he must put her in the freezer until I get back- NO throwing her away or anything! His daughter said, "In with the FOOD?!". I told her there's already cows and chickens and fish in there frozen! The look on her face was priceless!

Aww that last line is naughty, even though its a joke. My husband John has had to bury 4 of our fish who have recently passed away. I always find a little box for them and some tissue for them to lie on. All our other fish are fine, so I really don't know what went wronge. Our two oldest fish at 7 years old, passed away within two weeks of each. Aww they have been together since they were babies, so at least they'll have each other at Rainbow Bridge. I'll miss putting their names on cards for my daughters as I always send them a card from our pets.

I have a whole little graveyard out under a tree that I worry about if we ever move. It's always so sad to lose any pet. I even cried when my praying mantis' died - I had hatched them and raised them. But I KNOW there is a special heaven for them. I had read once that if an animal has a name it will go to heaven, so I even name all the poor babies squished on the road and say a prayer for them. I know I will see all of my little friends again; after all, what would heaven be without animals?

Aww thats so thoughtful of you Kitty, naming a poor animal that had passed away on a road. I love the Rainbow Bridge story, its very comforting isn't it. Do you still have any praying mantis Kitty, were they hard to look after? I have a friend called Bird who loves all creatures, even when they have 8 legs ;D Here is her site if you wanted to take a look. She's a lovely lady. webdesignbybird.com/birdboysplace.htm

Yes, I love the Rainbow Bridge story too but it always makes me cry terribly much. It just wouldn't be heaven without pets. No, all of my mantis' are gone -turned loose. They hatched in JANUARY of all months and I had to travel a LONG way to get these special teeny, tiny crickets to feed them. It was kinda traumatic when they were first born as they all start eating each other until there were just a few hardy ones left- about 12 out of HUNDREDS! Those eventually winnowed themselves down to 5 and then I gave a few to my Mom and the others were set free. When I was a kid my Mom would bring them in the house when she caught one and we would feed them raw hamburger and let them roam. I will go to your friend's site and see her pretty bugs! around.

Oh I never knew that about praying mantis, that is traumatic isn't it. I'm afraid I'm not keen on insects, I like ladybirds and butterflies. I'd never harm an insect intentionally though. As much as I dislike spiders, I can catch them in a jar and pop them outside, telling them don't come back lol Bird sometimes sends me pictures of her tarantulas, she names them so I do warm to them.......abit

(if I have the guts to get near the spider, I'm terrified of them) I feel that they have the same right to live as everyone else. This is an old thread!!

I never heard it - no wonder, as I grew up on the continent. But I love the lyrics!

I hadn't heard it before, either, and now I've been doing that with all the things the pigs have been doing, all afternoon, lol. I'll probably have that song stuck in my head for days!!!
