Hi again! We have just got a new cat, our firast ever, from people that needed to rehome her. Her name is Roxy and she is a Burmese. She used to be anoutdoor cat but due to a variety of reasons, she needs to be an indoor cat with us. It has been a week and she still spends most of the day looking out of windows and generally being restless. So today, she escaped We got her back within minutes (after hunting through bush). To all those that know cats, do you think she will come back to us after owning her for a week. I know its usually two but we think it might be better to start slowly working it our of her routine rather than a sudden change. Main fear is she will not returnt o us but try and find her other owners (who lives many miles away) thanks

My advice would be to try and keep her in for four to six weeks - make sure she knows that her new home is well worth coming home to! I know its tough, watching them gaze longingly out of the window but its worth it. Has she been entered and had all her jabs? She needs to have all those before she should go out.
And congratulations on your new cat - welcome to the world of mog-slavery!
