No idea why it would do this but someone will. Do not delay to syringe feed water using a little 1ml or 5ml syringe (used to give babies medicine etc)

Hi soric3l,
Has your guinea pig drank much water in the past? I was just wondering if there's been a change to his drinking patten. How old is your piggy? Some piggies arn't big drinkers and he may be having sips while your not there. Some piggies get enough water from their veggies and fruit.
Is he eating ok? and is there quite a few wee patches in his cage which would indicate he is drinking. If your worried you could alway take your piggy to your vets and get them to look him over and do the dehydrating test.
Is he active and not hunched up in a corner looking deoressed? If he looks depressed, he needs to see a vet as soon as possible.
Like Susie has suggested, if you have a 1ml syringe, you could see if he'll take it. Just go in at the side of the mouth, just behind the two front and slowly release the water. Not too fast as piggy could choke and don't aim the syringe down the throat.

Lucian has told me that the piggy (Mr. M). Has never drank much so I am guessing he is getting water from wet stuff in veg like cucumber.
We have agreed it might be worth syringing a little water to keep him healthy though.
