Just been pig shopping today & got a giant Purple pigloo & ordered a grassy hut. Just wondred what do people have for their cavies little lean to... what do you think works/goes down best?
I like to try all different ones & swap them around the pigs for variety. Just want to know what other peoples piggys are in to & if there is anything we are missing out on!

Oh I've just seen it here www.bunnybazaar.co.uk/comfort.htmlI love those and the log tunnel, I'll definatly have to save up for them

We have a log tunnel too. I'm hoping a friend of mine can get me one painted like the rainbow as they sell them at a garden centre near her. She'l poorly right now though. Will send pics if we do. WEll I will be taking some pics when I've sorted new arrangements for the boys cages anyway!

Right now I am using a green "pigloo", but I may buy a wooden hide-a-way for sally because she has been chewing the plastic. I'd rather have her chew on some untreated wood than colored plastic. I hope she does not mind.

Don't mean to worry you but when I first did my site I had a pic of my Spam in a plastic Rodi igloo. A girl e-mailed me to say her piggy died of internal injuries from chewing the plastic! I added a warning to the page & always watch anything plastic for signs of chewing... if its chewed its out. For some reason they sem to chew the Rodi igloo & not the pig super pet ones But if its being chewed I say chuck it. Its not worth the risk is it?

Yes, I will get rid of it. I don't want my girl to get hurt!

Might be ok to still use it for supervised floor time

Thankfully mine don't chew the igloo's, but thanks for the warning Susie. When I'm cleaning them out, they go straight for the black bag, so I don't leave it on the floor for a second. Piggies seem to love to want to chew plastic bags, but even a tiny bit can cause an obstruction internally, so you have to be very careful don't you.

Mine don't chew the big ones with no floor in them. Just the Rodi one. Just checking we are all being vigilant as the story the girl told me was very moving about the piggy with internal injuries.

Thanks, at first I was thinking of using it for floortime. Today I'm getting the bid wooden hide-a-way. I think she'll like it.

Great stuff... you know still the most popular hiding house here is a cardboard box with 1 hole in the end one in the side. They don;t last long but boy are they enjoyed! ;D

On Sunday, I bought a grassy hutch, which is made of woven hay. It is very safe and has two holes one in the front ,one on the side. She loves it.

They do love those but some piggys eat them! Its totally safe of course... just means you have to replace it. I think they like the two holes. Which I had a pic for you of one of my boys who likes to sleep with his bum hanging out one of the holes! Next time he does it I've the camera at the ready!

Nearly got one tonight but Bum (belonging to piggy) moved when I turned on the camera as it makes a noise. Turned sound off so its only a matter of time! LOL!

Lol Its hard work trying to capture their funny moments on film isn't it. While I was filming, Sweetpea was always near me, I'm sure she knew what a camera is and wanted a staring role

right now for my new baby piggies ive given them tons of cardboard boxes, including two lasrge ones to sleep in, the rest are for playing in! My big piggies live in a hutch, so they have a box inside their bedroom to help keep them warm, when they run on the patio they have lots of plant pots and paving slabs to hide under, but they never move around much really..
