Ah my, whilst I was dying my hair the other day, I got out my piggy Hyasinth and sat with her in my sitting room watching a film and stroking her, then when I looked down I noticed I'd dripped on her! I tried to rub it off straight away but it just spread! Luckily I know the stuff is safe (Ive had it in my eyes and my mouth before...) and I washed as much as I could out, but somes still there! So shes dyed her hair as well!! heehee! A nice bright fuschia, so now we match!! Also, I think I should point out that its the first time this hair dyes been tested on animals!!

You should rename her 'fucia' or 'pink'. Glad it was the safe stuff... was just about to rant about had it got in her eyes. Just watch her that she doesn't develop a reaction too. Ps. what colour is your hair? Perminant? She does look kind of cool

hehe, well hyasinths are that sort of a shade arent they? Im really not sure, shes named after someone from a sitcom, lol, not the flower.. I doubt she sees it there, what with the bad eyesite and all, and it doesnt have a smell, especially when washed off, so shes probably comletely unaware, it didnt even get to her skin as her furs quite thick. Haha a guinea pig with streaks, that would be cool, lol. You know I have like 3 pots of 'poppy red', some blue and green and some violet i think, lol. + Kitty, haha, your son rocks, lol, mine is in fact bright fuscia (pot said 'rose red'...) I also managed to dye my ears, lol, I bet your son didnt make his ears match

haha yeah shes named after Mrs Bucket, and her sisters are named after Hyasinths sisters, lol. Well they got named before we even got them home, but Id say she could be, lol, and we do hardly ever see Violet (you know, the one with a swimming pool and room for a pony!)

My son Isaac dyed his hair with my blessings! We've since tried to dye it blue but that didn't "take". I'm a Mom that allows pretty much everything and I'm working on him to get some ear peircings but he's too "chicken"!

I don't blame him Kitty I had my ears done many years ago, but my lobes are quite thick, so I had alot of trouble with them. I've let the holes close up now

My Dad pierced my ears with my Mom screaming"don't you hurt that child" outside the bathroom door! If I could hold Issac down long enough I'd get him!

Ha! What a little rocker! I suppose you don't think about dripping hair dye on your Guinea Pig - it's just one of those things that you never really think of until it happens!
It just looks like she's had Highlighter put through her blaze!

Thanks Sooz! Problem is I WON'T let him bleach his hair first. He's got this coarse, curly hair that would just be RUINED by bleaching ( our hairdresser agrees). So do you know of a dye that would turn it blue or even green without bleach? Have you ever used colored hennas?

Well I use La Riches Directions, which is around £5 a pot, and its quite good at going over fading colours. To get rid of hair dye quickly, use conditioner, it strips hairdye like mad, so after about 3 conditions (give that at least a weeks timing, too much will kill his hair..) And then try some La-Riche on top, leaving it in for longer than the pot says, leave it till he wants it off, lol. Its always worked well for me, and it works better on hair thats been dyed before. Also La Riche isnt in shops like boots, sometimes you can get it on ebay, but I find mine in 'alternative' shops usually, they come in pots (so wear disposable gloves or washing up gloves, unless you wanna dye your hands too). If you want I can post a picture of what a pot of blue looks like! But if you already have a dye then Id try the conditioning thing and use that! Let me know how it goes!
