'The Leisure Lounge'
This is the place to chat about the cinema, tv, books, music, the internet and current affairs. Also, share news of your hobbies whether they be gardening, arts and crafts, sports, collections, cookery or morris dancing!
With that in mind...here's what we had going on in the village this weekend! lol
For those of you that don't know what Morris Dancing is..here's some info on it...
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morris_dance
It has to be said that most of the people who live here find it a mind numbing and pointless pursuit but as you can see, it draws the crowds of tourists in!
And while that is going on outside my front door, here's what we have at the back! Not quite as impressive as Val's snakes and opposoms but I get a fair few birds and mammals popping in to say hello!
This was a fledgling thrush that was hiding out under the bushes waiting for Ma or Pa to come and feed it. I was cutting my brother's hair out the back as it was a nice day and it hopped right under the chair he was sitting on even with a group of us stood round chatting! Then it settled itself next to my bins and had a chirrup!
And this is a fledgling sparrow I spotted who has white wings! I was pretty pleased to see it two or three days in a row as with wings that stand out like his do, its usually those that fall prey to cats etc. Keep your fingers crossed he makes it to adulthood and beyond!
And this is one of 3 baby bunnies that regularly pop into the garden for a spot of breakfast!
It's all grown up now but this was this morning! As you may spot, this is the area where my pet bunny has her run so it shows the importance of vaccinating against diseases that the wild rabbit population may hold.
And here's a little sparrow having a dust bath!
Its all go here!
