Last night one of our cats, Norm, decided it was time to meet George and Arthur. At first they feigned indifference to his presence: But after a bit they decided to see what this big guy was all about: Soon they wondered if he wanted to play: Norm finally freaked out from all of the attention and left, but it was cute while it lasted.

Adorable! I've known a lot of people whose cats and pigs hung around together. No problems, but should be supervised. Pigs and dogs need a lot of supervising, because things can go wrong so quickly. Glad Norm didn't freak out too quickly, and got to spend some time with the guys. Also glad the guys didn't gang up on Norm. Great photos!!!!

I was keeping an eye on them the whole time. Norm is an exceptionally mellow cat and I was confident that he wouldn't suddenly become aggressive. (We got him from the shelter in 1993 and I've never seen him be aggressive at all in the time since.) The boys did kind of gang up on him toward the end of their playdate, both of them climbing on him and nuzzling him; it was at that point that Norm called it quits.

Cute! Different species can work out together, but they always need close supervision and sound judgement from the owner.

Our other cat, Cliff, is mildly curious but also frightened of them and will run away if they come anywhere near him. :-)

Some cats will lie in the cage and enjoy piggy company. Others want no part of the pigs. Cats don't seem to threaten pigs, though, or considered them to be prey.

Here the piggies and bunnies have always been the bosses. One of our cats Felix got too close to the play pen and poked his nose through only to gt it bitten. Mr Snuffles used to see anything off and it was great to watch.
