Hi and welcome!
Wayne and Ulyssis are very cute indeed! They look fairly young. How old are they? have you had them for long?

Thanks Yodelpig! They are young! Wayne is about to turn one in a few weeks and Ulyssis is 6months. I adopted them about four months ago! They have become my little cheeky men/babies! It is so wonderful having young animals again! My three dogs are thirteen... So they don't really do much but sleep and eat... one of them is blind and deaf and another is going deaf... It's a challenging household at the best of times! heheheheh

Hello and welcome to you and your gorgeous boys! Pigs have a lot of personality, and the longer you have them, the more they are used to you and their environment, the more outgoing they become. They have jobs, enjoy a good popcorning, have favorite areas and activities, etc. Interact with them. Enjoy them. They will be great, fun pets!

Thank you for the welcomes! The boys have really started coming out of their shells the last month or so! Wayne is the overlord! He directs all construction works atop his pillow throne... And Uly basically wants Wayne's job... Hahaha Wayne likes to be adored from afar unless you are giving him head scratches... Uly likes to go on daily house and yard tours to check the herb garden and wheatgrass growth... Sigh... I love my boys!

Yesterday was fathers day here in Australia! My wonderful husband spent it helping me give the pooches hair cuts! A poodle who is blind and deaf, and two poodle x cavalier king charles spaniels... All will be 14 this year... It was a mission let me tell you! All of us were exhausted by the effort! Next weekend is the turtles turn for a spring clean! Their shells are a bit mossy from the winter... We have two Murray river turtles... We had to separate them because of fighting and it cost us a small fortune to set up a second tank just quietly! We hope to Move the Larger one to a garden pond this summer... He is just turned one year old. I am really enjoying reading everyone's threads in here! And thank you all for welcoming me!

Happy belated Father's Day to your wonderful hubby! Will the turtles outgrow this fighting stage the way pigs do, or is this a territorial dispute? Hope they enjoy the warm months in the pond.
So glad your impaired dogs have such loving parents to care for them!

3piggles, it is possible that in a pond the turtles MAY tolerate each other... But unlikely... 'muzz' (slang for murray) is a really aggressive little dude who tortures the feeder fish... Stalking them around the tank... 'spot' is a calm gentle fellow who does not eat live food at all... But likes the feeder fish because they clean up his shedding skin for him... They shed regularly, it's pretty gross actually as they swim around with skin hanging off their little heads... Alas there is no teenage phase... They are Just extremely territorial in some cases... They usually recommend not having more than one for this reason... But ever the optimist... I thought how can I only have a lone pet... *sigh*

Well... I adopted a third Boar this weekend... He is absolutely gorgeous!!!! I let him settle and smell my other two last night and today we did the introductions! We had a quick buddy bath to neutralize scents and then three hours of floor time in my hallway which the other two had never previously been. There has been much rumbling and squeaking and it looks as though the little fellow has made himself completely at home... He is very bold! Has been out in the open with the other two... Even zooming up and down the ramp attaching the two large areas... After they had been in their new enlarged cage all together for 5 hours or so I pick up baby for a wee cuddle, and he's already calling for his big brothers! I have all my fingers and toes crossed on this one! I haven't decided on a name yet... He came with the name Bronx... But my hubby has been calling him Trunk because he couldnt remember the name. (can you tell he works in the automotive industry?) I'm undecided, I have never changed a name of and already named pet before... But trunk seems to suit him... :/

He's gorgeous!!! His personality reminds me of my late Zippy who was all personality, right from the start. Sounds as if he's going to get along with the others just fine! I don't know much about turtles, but I guess that whole give them a friend thing isn't for them. I hope you can sort them so both turtles and the feeder fish get what they need! Good luck on that!
