That is pretty cool, but very expensive!

Cool, unless there's a dog in the house!! Probably wouldn't go over well with the canine contingent!

I certainly wouldn't get it if I had a male dog! That is pretty cool, but very expensive! Yeah you're right - I probably wouldn't buy it really!

The cat would probably sit on it instead of scratch it.

My bookshelves and display unit are taking a hammering at the moment 3piggles love, and yet the things I put down for them to chew are ignored LOL!!

I think the best thing is to put the scratching stuff where they do their scratching, rather than trying to get them to scratch where we want them to. I have found that a nice, BIG cat pole, one with lots of sleeping, hiding, viewing and scratching options, does work. Hub built one to our specifications, eons ago, and it was a complete success. Basically have to create a world where they want to be.

That is really great advice 3piggles love and it makes sense. Unfortunately hubby is not DIY inclined so I will have to look at buying one.

You could stack boxes in steps and staple carpet pieces onto different parts, some for scratching, some for sleeping, some for just hanging out. I had a friend with a small apartment, who installed a piece of cheap PVC pipe wrapped in carpet for scratching, and just stacked cubes in a step configuration. Pads on the steps, the cubes were her storage, everyone was happy!

Since you don't have a cat, do you want to buy it for mine instead then?
