Daughter coming down with containers of salad veggies. Hub is working from home today, so we'll go out to lunch. Otherwise, not much happening. We are having granddaughter over Thanksgiving, later this month, so trying to get the bedrooms painted and ready for carpeting. Not sure we'll manage, as we have gotten a lot slower in our old age, but we do some on it every weekend. I think Anaira should get karmas

Not a bad week here either, hubby and animals are all fine. We don't lead very exciting lives I am afraid but I like to hear about what my friends are doing. Hugs

We've just come to the end of half term - it's been a nice week off with a good mix of meeting up with friends and family, and having a good old relax! We've enjoyed some bonfire and fireworks festivities tonight - the kids have got another one later this week so hope the rain holds off.
Hope you had fin with your granddaughter, Laurie. And good luck with that painting!

More good news. Rosie passed away last night. Also, I have one more week before the semester will finally be over! Just one more report to finish, two exams...and this madness will be over. I think I really am mad right now. And the rest of the engineering school with me. So much stress! But here. Here is a cool car I modelled in SolidWorks. I'm proud of this.

Sad news about Rosie But I do like the look of your car If you're feeling mad, then I guess it's good to know that you're not the only one! I've had a few days away with some friends on Arran and also had an extra week on holiday at home. Done all the things I never seem to have the time and energy for when I'm at work - saw my Mum, saw my Dad, had my flu jag, did a bit of shopping, filled up my freezer, chatted to cats at the shelter - and watched an awful lot of rubbish telly!

Sorry about Rosie, what a tough month it's been for you.
Great car!
Glad you had a lovely week off, weesilvie! What rubbish telly have you been watching? Caught up in any of the X-Factor/ Strictly type of things? I had a brief dalliance with Grand Designs recently - having never watched it before, I was watching a few episodes a week. I think it gave me some perspective during our recent frustrating home improvement disruptions, to know there were people living with a heck of a lot more chaos and expense! (Of course they usually ended up with something amazing in the end!)
We watched Lillyhammer - enjoyed that, although always wished I liked the main bloke more. And I'm still caught up in Homeland no matter how silly it gets...!

My favourite rubbish telly is pure mindless stuff I don't have to concentrate too hard on, can just get lost in. I like cop shows - Castle, Bones, Body of Proof, Rizzoli and Isles, New Tricks and such like. I also like the Killing which has just started again. No spoilers though, I've only seen the first couple of episodes so far - recorded the rest! I missed the start of the first series of Homeland - twice - and therefore can't yet bring myself to watch the rest! Sure I'd like it. And I have to confess to having got caught up in Strictly. I hate most reality shows but seem to be able to stomach this one. I think it's time for Brucie to be put out to grass though!

So sorry about Rosie. Not that there is ever a good time to lose them, but when there is so much else happening, it's hard to properly mourn and say good bye The car is totally cool! Never know when an idea will become a reality!

I like cop shows - Castle, Bones, Body of Proof, Rizzoli and Isles, New Tricks and such like. The only one of those I've even heard of is New Tricks! I do love The Killing though and am enjoying the new series so far - thank goodness for clever machines that you can set to record series to watch at your leisure or we'd have no chance at keeping up! The Bridge was really good too - another great (and unusual) female lead! Hope everyone in the UK has managed to stay flood-free?

He's been in a lot of cop shows hasn't he (just googled him as I knew the name but couldn't put a face to it) - obviously fits the type! I see he was in Twins (with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny De Vito) - I do love that film! (Although I'm not sure what I think of there being a sequel called 'Triplets' with Eddie Murphy as their long lost triplet - I still think it's a joke?!)
Oooh it's very icy here this morning - we saw lots of people scraping windscreens!

He has been in a lot love but is known for being better in series than in films. I love Eddie Murphy Films especially the last one which I think was called "Haunted House."
Hugs
