I love you too hun and your support and friendship means the world to me. We are in a pickle agani I am afraid. I say "again" we were never really out of it. Nothing short of a lump sum would help us out but then I realise there are people much worse off than me and who deserve it more.
Having all of you is such a blessing, I am lucky to have such wonderful friends.
Love and hugs
Jo xx

I'm sorry you are still having a hard time of it Jo. It's hard to see a way out of these things without some extremely good fortune coming along to wipe the slate clean. I hope that at least your health has levelled out a bit after succumbing to the winter germs? I'm sure having your washing machine fixed has helped with your energy levels! xx

Thank you Bean love, I am so lucky to have friends like you on this forum. You are right, it would take quite a lot of luck to get us out of the situation we are in and yes you are right, when you worry your resistejnce is low and you are more likely to get somethig nasty. I have survived so far, touch wood.
Hugs
JO xx Thank you for your kind concern and well wishes, it is much appreciated.
Hugs

We try to weigh our concerns so diligence wins over getting totally stressed. Rarely works, in my opinion, but definitely worth the effort! Spam the government with requests for help, no matter how unlikely. You just never know! Lots of hugs

Oh Jo, it's so hard and food and everything is so expensive. Don't know you well yet so really not sure what to say. You sound mentally strong though. Just keep going and I'll keep praying for you. Don't mean to preach but never underestimate the power of prayer my friend. Then again I might win the lottery x

Hope your dentist trip went smoothly Jo - and that it's now fixed back on with Creme Egg defence strength (I still don't know how you can eat those things - I feel nauseous just thinking about that massive fondant centre!).

Oh Treen/Bean, I'm with you! I don't know how my husband eats those things! If it were filled with lovely gooey cheese that would be a different matter!
Jo! You poor thing! I am really feeling for you right now! I can't afford to visit the dentist, so I just lost a tooth.... I am so devastated! I feel like I look like a hillbilly now! Booohooooo!
Rich thoughts going out to you and yours! xxxxx

If it were filled with lovely gooey cheese that would be a different matter! A chocolate egg filled with cheese?! Sound good to you, weesilvie?! It's a positive. A thank you, a thumbs up, an indication that a post helped with info or whatever was needed! Or alternatively, if someone's unhelpful or mean then you can choose to 'smite' them which gives negative karma - doesn't happen much round here, but then again, there's always one...

Join the club, Weesilvie. I clench/grind my teeth, and eventually, they totally break apart. Have to get the rest pulled. It's my bag lady look! If I ever get the money, I hope to get implants. Tried a bridge, but it didn't last.

3 Piggles, you made me laugh when you talked about grinding your teeth. Hey maybe we're turning into guinea pigs, they grind their teeth x

How do you know you grind your teeth, Laurie?
After 20 years of just having check-ups and no work at the dentist, I needed a filling replacing recently. He said my tooth had little hairline cracks inside which usually indicate a teeth grinder, and did I grind my teeth at night? As far as I know I don't, and fella's never noticed. My son grinds his teeth at night when he has a cold and I can hear it from the next room *shudder* so I can't imagine I could do it in the same room as someone and not be noticed?! I expect clenching is quieter but don't you wake up with an achy jaw?
Do you wear a guard or anything at night?

Grinding creates wear patterns regular chewing doesn't create. Lots of grinding and clenching create a lot of hairline fractures, that the factures eventually grow and split the tooth. I could get a guard, but they are very expensive if they fit right, and uncomfortable if they don't. I've tried the OTC mouth guards before. Not good.
I also have TMJ, which is arthritis of the jaw joint. I don't know if the grinding and clenching come first, or the TMJ, or they all tend to happen at the same time.
I have very few fillings, and I don't think I got my first one until I was 30. Being able to see and understand the hairline fractures is relatively new to dentistry. Xrays just found cavities, for a long time.
