I adore creme eggs, I really wish I didn't LOL!! Thank you monkeyandthechimp love for your kind words, they are much appreciated. I have always had trouble with my teeth (probably too many creme eggs LOL) and if I won the lottery, I would have hollywood white inplants.

Grinding creates wear patterns regular chewing doesn't create. Lots of grinding and clenching create a lot of hairline fractures, that the factures eventually grow and split the tooth. I could get a guard, but they are very expensive if they fit right, and uncomfortable if they don't. I've tried the OTC mouth guards before. Not good. I also have TMJ, which is arthritis of the jaw joint. I don't know if the grinding and clenching come first, or the TMJ, or they all tend to happen at the same time. I have very few fillings, and I don't think I got my first one until I was 30. Being able to see and understand the hairline fractures is relatively new to dentistry. Xrays just found cavities, for a long time.

My friends husband has had the same problem for years, tried everything. He has now had many teeth crowned at a huge cost but its done the trick, but also it took a lot of work to get the teeth the correct shape to stop them wearing down and resolve the problem. It must be quite a problem, poor yup x

Teeth are a nuisance, I know we couldn't do without them but they cause a lot of trouble for a lot of people.

I'm glad, even for a lot of money, he could get the teeth replaced. Mine went from not giving me any problems, to breaking apart, so not much chance of saving them with crowns. Might do implants or a bridge, if something can be done about the TMJ. Since I lost three teeth on the right, I haven't had any pain from the TMJ. Had a lot of pain, before. Doesn't make me rush right out and replace them!!!

Your right, if you've had pain and its one gone, it makes you feel like leaving well alone. You'll probably want a brace sooner or later xx

Those mini creme eggs might be kinder on your teeth as there's not such thick chocolate to bite in to?! I prefer them to the full-sized ones too - increasing the chocolate to fondant ratio definitely improves the experience!
I can imagine you can't wait for all those appointments, Jo?! Keeping your mouth wide open for an hour must make your jaw ache! I'm rubbish at the dentist, as soon as my mind wanders I start closing my mouth haha!

Ooh, I gave in and bought the individually wrapped cream eggs, last night! I hope I do better eating those than I did eating the 3-pack I bought last year. I put that in the fridge and totally forgot about it! I have two facebook friends who do an annual cream egg story, usually involving the two of them stealing all the worlds cream eggs, and hiding them on their moon base. Hub asked me if I bought the eggs before Bailey and Nermal stole them all

I like a thin bar of Cadburys chocolate dipped into cup of tea, melts ever so slightly. Don't even need teeth. I could probably live on that! Yum yum

LOL Bean, I am sure there is a rude answer there somewhere hee hee!! Haha! A few things popped through my mind as I was writing it but I thought everyone else might be more mature than I am?! Dipping chocolate in to tea, Margaret?! Sounds nice actually! My favourite used to be the treacle or golden crunch creams (Fox's I think?) dipped into tea - me and my friend could see a packet each off within about 30 seconds!
